Masterpiece through and through. If you are on the fence, just go watch it right now!
Starts out really good, but man it just got unwatchable those final seasons. I really tried to push through it because I did like the storyline with Shawn navigating relationships, but the rest of it gets extremely woke and preachy. Yet another casualty of PC culture. And for the record I grew up with Star Trek. They were one of the first to do a strong female lead, a black woman as XO, a black captain. Mind you in times when these were very controversial thinks to do. There is a place for pushing the envelope and getting us to question our social norms, and then there is whatever this preachy self-indulgent crap was supposed to be. PC culture is ruining entertainment in this country and for what? A very small (albeit very loud and whiny) minority of the population. Most of us normal joes are sick of this. We don't want you shoving tranny procedures for kids down our throat, we want a good show with relatable characters and thoughtful writing.
This generation's version of the classic 80s-2000s sitcoms. Lots of lighthearted and funny moments mixed in with serious topics such as teenage pregnancy, school burnout, mental illness, and death.
As someone who's not really big into anime this might just be one of the best shows I've ever watched. Hooks you in quick and leaves you clicking next episode over and over until the very end.
Actually liked this show all the way up until season 6. Season 6 definitely falls off ALOT. But I genuinely liked season 5, it was overhated imo. Maybe it is become I am a fan of Jonathan Banks and I liked his character in this. His episode with Abed is one of my favorites in the show.
Enjoyable and fun watch with alot of wasted potential imo. I feel like this would have made a better show, even if only one of those single season shows. I feel like there was alot of world building and character development that could have been done, but in movie form the pacing of everything just felt very rushed and this interesting world they created didn't get very fleshed out properly.
Super underrated show. Really gets too much hate from purists who wanted it to be an ATLA reboot. That it is definitely not, but it's great in it's own right. In some areas I actually like it better than ATLA. I like the villains in TLOK much more than I liked Ozai. Rather than the typical trope being evil for the sake of money or power, you can almost sympathize with the Korra villains..they just were fighting for the right ideals in the wrong ways. Overall a very good show I rewatch regularly.
Every genuinely good show gets cancelled while Kardashians and Greg's Anatomy get 30 seasons...
Garbage. The only somewhat redeeming factor of this show is the fact that Kathy Bates happens to be in it, but that's not enough to make up for every other character being absolute unfunny idiots. Lovable idiots are a common comedy trope but these are not remotely likeable. And its not one of those shows where "you have to smoke to get it". No its just as bad if not worse to watch while smoking lol.
Season 3 is a masterpiece of television. You gotta stick it out through S1 and S2 though. Just like any "Trek" show it takes a couple seasons to find it's identity before it hits a stride. It's worth it though. Really hope we see a fourth season!!
As someone who grew up with Voyager and DS9 this was refreshing compared to the other modern Trek shows. The episodes are definitely hit or miss for me, but the ones that do hit are peak Trek. Lets not do a musical episode again though lol..
