These are not my "best" Christmas ones, but they are well-made documents.
Maybe not all films are those that "made me", but many of them are indeed classics that will be remembered for years. An interesting idea, to go back behind the scenes of their production.
A well-made Polish series called True Crime. It does not focus too much on the private matters of the narrators, but presents the facts with almost journalistic accuracy. I wish there were more like this.
When the Terminator lands in the 21st century and encounters AI hype, he calls himself Smith and instead of saving John and Sarah, we have Atlas. ;)
It's not a masterpiece of Christmas cinema, neither is a classic... but it's a decent average movie that can be watched from time to time during holidays.
This is definitely not an advertisement encouraging you to vacation in Mexico. ;) A bit of inconsistency, but it could have been worse, it's watchable.
Watched again 12 years after the premiere. The effects are a bit dated, but the atmosphere of the "game" and the levels are preserved. :)
He tried to be multi-cultural, but something didn't quite work out and it turned out as usual.
A bit exaggerated, but so human. Because how close we are to losing mental stability.
In Special Edition there is even more good in very good movie. It wonderfully maintains this constant tension of horror and danger.
Atkinson and Thompson in form, and overall worse than 2, better than 1.
Rarely is a sequel better than the first film, and here we have such a unique situation. Although "Scully" is a bit numb. But +1 for the post-credits scene. :)
Having a good idea is not enough if you overtalked it and add a few unnecessary threads...
The beginning is a bit like from Harlequin book, then a bit of celebrity drama, and finally "they live happily ever after"... predictable.
There is something seriously wrong with watching people with problems, especially when it is based on facts and presented by a participant making a show out of it.
"Mr. Bean" used to be funny, but today it's probably a bit too much. ;)
I didn't like it, it was definitely too long and therefore repetitive with its action twists.
Perhaps Hoffman's best role, probably impossible to repeat in this type of film nowadays.
Most of these "secrets" are not that mysterious and interesting...
It's an anothwr anti-war film, but not as good as "Platoon" or "The Thin Red Line". The music is a plus.
The documentary series is very uneven, there are interesting episodes but also some that could be skipped, as is the attempt to present the depth of law enforcement officers (their private stories).
Well, it's not a very exciting story, I wonder why Disney thought there would be a whole franchise out of it.
The plot is poor because it is a poor copy of several other scenarios, but half a movie of an impressive fight is enough to watch it.
It's a pity that the title of the document spoils the whole mystery. It's literally like reading a crime story and knowing who the murderer is... boring.
A cross between "Romancing the Stone" and a bad political thriller trying to sell a serious message... it was mediocre.
A bit in the style of adventure films and a bit untrue, as in the case of Portrait of a Young Man painting by Raphael, the destruction of which has not been confirmed and is still missing.
Be careful what you wish for, it may come true. ;)
A good idea so wasted. The film is uneven, at times it feels like a script was written on the knee. But an interesting cameo of Peter's family. :)
Not very scary, and I didn't want to have a house with a swimming pool anyway. ;>
Old age is not joy, finding a cure for bitterness is essential.
