I just came out of the cinema after watching the movie for the first time. It was an okay movie. I don’t understand the reason behind the rating as there weren’t that many bloody or horrifying scenes.
As to why I’m rating it a 6/10.
The present day scenes felt disconnected from the story and barely believable. I have noticed that the scenes from the 60ties tend to follow the music and I suppose it’s difficult to forge a connection between modern day Soho and music that was written 60 years ago.
I loved the visuals for the 60ties. I also think that the cast did an amazing job. Matt Smith makes a good villain, he has the face and the presence for it.
Storyline was weak. The twist with the retired police officer was pointless in all honesty. I find it difficult to care for a character I saw briefly in passing. His character story was undeveloped or maybe a lot of context was lost during editing. We will never know. Another part that pulled me out of the story was the moment the male ghosts started talking and begging for help. Ellie was always portrayed as someone who was sympathetic to Sandy, having seen her life and in a way walked in Sandy’s shoes, even if not physically.
So yeah. It’s an okay movie but that’s just my experience. Feel free to give it a try and don’t let my opinion colour your expectations.
A masterpiece like no other.
I’ve been waiting for a Loki tv series since I was a kid. I have to say Marvel delivered. The show was amazing, all characters were written wonderfully. I just can’t wait for the next season.
Where do I even start? I mean the show is amazing, the characters are fantastic, the story got me hooked. I watched both seasons in one go. Best way to waste 16h and not regret your decision afterwards.
Fun, lighthearted and ideal if you want to waste some time. Or in my case, if you come out of a stressful night shift and want some distraction before you go to bed.
A well made sequel. I admit I would have liked to see a bit more backstory, but the lack of it didn’t ruin the movie for me.
I’m not sure how I feel about this movie. Honestly… Divorce is a thing and while others find the story compelling because their relationship persevered.. Did it really? Or is it one toxic mess?
Very fun, lighthearted comedy. A decent way to entertain yourself for a few hours.
For the first time in my life, I can proudly say that I enjoyed the TV show more than the book. The actors did an amazing job bringing the story to life.
I love every episode of this show. The main characters are well defined and the story is well written. Just the right amount of dramatic yet funny.
I gotta admit, I’ve watched and rewatched this show so many times. It’s my comfort show, as weird as it sounds. It’s a good show, the last season few seasons are not as strong as the beginning, but it could be worse.
It was fine, not as good as the previous movies. There are a few plot holes that stayed with me after walking out of the cinema. I’m not sure if I missed something or if the movie did a poor job explaining things.
The tv version of the “enemies to friends to lovers” trope. Not that I’m complaining. I had so much fun watching it. Definitely would watch again.
A coworker recommended this series to me a few days ago. I’ve been hooked ever since. The characters are extremely likeable, the story is amazing and I find myself at the edge of my seat all the time!
The show started out strong. I was extremely interested at first. By the middle of second season I started losing interest as the episodes felt almost repetitive and soulless. Still finished it for the sake of completing it, but it’s not a show I’d rewatch again with interest, but might consider having it as a white noise in the background while sleeping.
Just came out of the cinema after watching the movie. I loved it, definitely worth seeing. Doesn’t matter if you simply enjoy action movies or you are a huge Godzilla fan - the movie will cater to your needs.
Not gonna lie, I loved the show up until season six. The last two seasons just didn’t do it for me. As much as I love the chemistry between Richard and Kate, there is only so much their compatibility can do. I’m not saying that the last two seasons are bad, simply that they weren’t as good as the beginning. They felt a bit repetitive and lost in the plot.
I loved this movie so much! The cast was amazing. The story was far from unique, yet felt like something you haven’t seen. Definitely would watch again with friends.
Where do I begin? The plot of the movie got kinda lost on me. The story itself is not very well thought out, there is nothing compelling about it. A mother loses her child, leading to her taking revenge on people who had nothing to do with said child’s murder? Why? Why not find the culprits and go after them?
The story progresses slowly, too slow in order to keep viewer’s attention. There were moments when I was itching to skip a few seconds or maybe the whole movie altogether, out of boredom.
All in all, the idea had a merit; the story wasn’t well written; the actors were okay; main character was meh.
