Everytime I think this show has hit rock bottom it keeps going down.
Like Arturo is still alive? Really? REALLY? Why the hell is Stockholm worried about her baby now? And what is up with that absolutely cringy military squad of edgelords?
Come on, Eric cheating on Adam was so unnecessary.
They're still trying to make their relationship work and this whole season just showed all the effort Adam puts into it (improving his grades, writing poetry, having open conversations, managing his anger issues). Meanwhile Eric gets upset when Adam doesn't want sex or when he's worried about Eric in Nigeria? And now Eric cheats on him? I'm all for multi-dimensional characters, but would be great to see some effort or good side of Eric in this season.
Wow, that felt like the writers got a memo halfway through the episode that the show is axed.
Instead of finishing storylines they actually have the audacity to throw in new ones - Tami being pregnant again, Debbie apparently having no issue now leaving the house behind and going to Texas, Mickey and Ian wanting to have a baby, Carl maybe owning a bar, Lip having no perspective and doing food deliveries now and maybe (or maybe not) selling the house.
I also don't get the point of giving Frank that death scene in the last episode, only to have him wake up, walk through the city and have him end up dying in a hospital bed with a really cheap montage that felt like it was made by fans on Youtube.
Eh, what was the point of Frank planning the theft for a whole episode? I thought that would give them some money or lead to anything, but... that seems to have been a huge waste of time for the final episodes.
I'm also pretty tired of Carl's cop story. In general I love seeing him as a cop, but every single episode is the same - His partner/superior is corrupt or crazy and Carl realizes over and over again that he can't really help the poor people how he wants to. I wish that would have led to anything by now.
Three episodes left and we have so much pointless filler going on.
I actually did like Ian's and Mickey's story, though it could have been a bit more serious. What was the point of all the other things? Everyone should know that Fiona is Liam's legal guardian, so why is no one saying anything? And I surely hope Lip actually did talk to Tami and it's not another reason for them to fight. Lip and Brad... I don't even know what that was. V still tries to bring her mother back for some weird reason, even though her mother seems happy (and we still completely ignore that her son is Kevin's actual son). Kevin is so dumbed down that he can't even take care of his two daughters and I don't really know what was supposed to be so funny about two drugged up kids (and they're not good actors either). Carl is once again paired up with a crazy cop. Frank's story was just pure filler. And Debbie's and Ian's reconciliation was so anti-climatic that it easily could have happened many episodes ago.
I really wish this would feel like we're on our way to a proper conclusion, but unfortunately it doesn't.
"Do you have kids?" - "I'm 19." Good to know the writers still completely ignore the fact that Carl knows he has two children because Frank gave Ingrid Carl's sperm.
And why do they make Mickey feel so dumb? It feels like he has two brain cells and used up both of them to find his way to the interview. Of course he has always been crude, but he also gave me the feeling that he can get things done if he wants to. That interview felt like someone literally forced him to sit there. He didn't even seem to try with his answers. Would like to see him being successful or at least working hard for something instead of creating relationship drama.
This was my least favorite episode so far. I really enjoyed the previous episodes and especially the first one with the scary monsters and terrifying racism, but this one just felt like a weird attempt at Indiana Jones. None of the traps were interesting and even the scared/surprised acting seemed bad.
The scariest scene for me in this whole episode might have been the hookup between Ruby and William because I was just waiting for things to escalate.
I actually didn't care about Allison because her hot'n'cold attitude with Vanya annoyed me, her will-they-won't-they relationship with Luther didn't interest me and we never really saw her using her powers. I was hoping they would flesh her out more in the next season, so I definitely didn't see her death coming. It really took me by surprise.
Now I'm wondering if they'll change timelines again or if they'll live with that death. I certainly would prefer the latter because Allison is just not likeable to me. I don't even understand why she suddenly had an epiphany about the brainwashing she did as a kid. She sounded surprised at first like she really just remembered it but then it just seems like really cheap writing.
Anyway, I don't really agree with most of the negative comments here. It's annoying that Vanya doesn't listen to Allison and that Allison went there alone, yes, but I can kind of get where Vanya is coming from. She took meds to suppress her feelings all her life, she has her first real relationship with someone who seemingly considers her special, she just learned Allison is responsible for suppressing her power and Allison was about to control her again. Her "overreaction" seems pretty understandable to me.
"Are you putting your shoes on their sofa?" - "I'm throwing it out anyway." Thank God we got more of Bobby in this season :D
I'm absolutely not satisfied with this ending. I thought we would hear more about Clay's mental health diagnoses, more attention to Zach and his spiraling out of control, actual reasons for Winston's "I know what you did" obsession. But everything felt so unsatisfying to me.
I could probably keep going because these are just the complaints that I can think of immediately after finishing this season.
Tony is like Archie from Riverdale - For some reason both had some weird boxing story that had nothing to do with the actual plot and just took away screentime for no reason.
I can't believe they tried to turn this into a horror episode. It didn't work at all. Having one person with hallucinations is one thing, but multiple teenagers freaking out in the woods is just annoying to watch.
"You're just as handsome as the first day I met you." Ani is at it again with the cringy lines. Girl, you haven't been married for 50 years, so calm it down.
I honestly think this whole season was a waste of time because I can't even name three things that would make this season relevant. It just feels like pure filler with bad writing. I'm sure I could have skipped this whole thing and didn't miss out on anything.
- I can't believe Bear just suddenly remembered he had a camera installed. What an absolute lame "twist" to solve Kenny's death.
- Geraldine was just... pointless? I thought she might be involved with the Twelve or has some personal agenda, hidden secrets or something. But I guess the whole point of her was to have mommy issues?
- I was hoping for more infos about the Twelve when Villanelle becomes a keeper, but I neither know what a keeper even is nor do I have any more knowledge about the Twelve. Disappointing and feels like a wasted story that Villanelle tried to go up the ranks.
- The ending was okay. I wish I could be more emotionally involved, but the whole season was such a drag that I just feel... numb. It's nice they finally chose each other, but I hope that'll be relevant in the next season because the cat and mouse game gets a bit boring by now. And I hope they'll finish with season four.
I can't believe a Killing Eve episode, especially one about Oksana's family would bore me so much. I can't believe they managed to make that so lame. The characters were uninteresting with no substance, the plot was completely pointless, the humor didn't work for me at all.
I don't think I like that they have a new writer each season. This season feels even more different.
There are the kills that feel more comedic than anything else (that silly fall from the ladder in the last episode, now the dart-like projectiles that kill with absolute precision), then there are the scenes that feel so out of touch with reality (putting a baby in a trashcan and sitting down 10 meters away without anyone noticing, no one caring about the weird fight in the bus). I wish I could have enjoyed the kiss we all waited for, but even that didn't really click with me. I still hope the next episodes will convince me more.
That ending was not sitting right with me. I really liked how they all added their fingerprints to the bottle to protect Lu, but they hated Polo for accidentally killing a friend, but when Lu accidentally kills someone it's fine to cover it up? I also think it's so random to have Lu be the one who's responsible for his death. In the beginning I thought Cayetana would turn into a super obsessive girlfriend and kill him, and I honestly would have preferred that more. Or change the death a bit so it looks like murder, but in the end Polo actually killed himself.
Speaking of Lu - Are we supposed to be touched that Nadia's family accepts her? Nadia's father has been an absolute dick since the beginning and he's just accepting Lu because she appears to be a perfect girl who actually knows Arabic.
And why the hell was Omar getting pissed at Ander when Ander said he made it all up? Omar is the one who actually cheated on Ander and never admitted it, even when he left Ander and came back.
And one unexplained scene is the one where Cayetana cut herself with the bottle. I guess that will be a next season? I actually hope they'll let it end here because it was a proper ending.
There's too much relationship drama now for my taste - Samuel and Carla having feelings for each other, but being with Yeray and Rebecca, Ander and Omar fighting and Omar even cheating on Ander, Malick being a closeted gay or bisexual guy who is with Nadia but made out with Omar etc.
The one scene that I really did love was Lu saying no to Guzman and saying she's fine like this. That was such a power move and amazing character development considering how possessive she was in the earlier seasons.
I really hope Malick will just be a friend and not some annoying love triangle. I'm so tired of the "will they, won't they" relationship Guzman and Nadia have.
CAN THEY PLEASE TIE ARTURO UP? FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. God, I'm so angry at this bullshit. Since the first heist he has been trying to get into people's head, planning things, stealing items etc., but they still let him whisper and get away with everything? I'm so fucking tired of him manipulating people around him, dragging them into his mess, messing things up and repeating it over and over again. It annoys me so much that I'm so close to just skipping his scenes because it's not entertaining at all.
The scenes with Nairobi just felt like "torture porn" to me, simply for shock value.
And that whole ending just pissed me off even more tbh. They made her life/death situation a big cliffhanger in the last part, but now she still ends up dying? And they added these weird things about her suddenly wanting to marry Bogota and having the Professor's child which was such cheap and nonsensical death flags.
I'm officially not enjoying this show anymore at all and hope they won't renew for another part. This is not the show I enjoyed during the first heist. It has turned into complete soap opera trash with dumb characters and ridiculous plot armor and no logic.
Tokyo and Denver are like Dumb & Dumber. Do we really need some lame miscommunication and misunderstanding trope in this show to force relationship drama?
And the scene with Berlin was... weird. I do like that they finally showed again he's not just a nice guy (a lot of viewers seem to forget that), but that scene was so random and felt kind of out of character for Berlin. And you're telling me the big guy wouldn't even try to defend himself or scream?
I want to like it, but the writing has become so bad that it's sometimes soap opera level.
How can there even be a single person who thinks Tokyo would be a good leader? She fucked up so many times already and has no good qualities for a leader.
How can they just perform lung surgery on someone in the middle of a bank?
The scene where they all draw weapons at each other was interesting once, but it happened so many times now that I just roll my eyes. It feels like such a cheap attempt at being cool.
That bull scene was so... awkward? What the hell was that about. The professor is already in danger. Why did the writers add a bull as an attempt to make it more dangerous??? I'm so lost.
Why the hell would they let Arturio donate blood? Tie him up properly and throw him in a closet or something. He's always trying to stir up shit. Can the characters please learn that? Why would they ever trust him or even keep talking to him. And don't get me started on that pointless Monica drama - She should have known by now that they can all be violent.
Ola saying "I love you, dude. I love you like a friend." to Adam was so weird. Two episodes ago she had to point out that she's his coworker from the picture. She's the new kid but suddenly she has deep connections with the people around her? I have 13 Reasons Why flashbacks...
I do think it's problematic that Adam used to be Eric's bully and Adam does need a lot of development and learning how to talk about things, but I think I like him more with Eric than Rahim. Rahim seems so... emotionless? Kind of similar to Ola. Ola is nearly always happy and careless and smiley, and Rahim is always emotionless and matter-of-fact. Eric is so loud, bubbly and extrovert that I'm surprised both of his love interests are so the opposite of him. But I feel like Adam could be louder and more open if he actually came out of his shell. We already saw him laughing a few times with Eric and I would like to explore that tbh.
At first I was a bit annoyed that we're at the same endpoint as season 1, but then I realized that Adam's now out of the closet, so hopefully season 3 will move forward with that. (And I desperately need more happy scenes with Adam because my heart hurts watching him.)
The ending with Maeve/Otis/Isaac just annoyed me. I don't really need Maeve and Otis together, but that was such a cheap twist. It felt so forced to keep them apart even longer now, ugh. If they at least decided to stay friends or something, but this was literally "person A confesses feelings but person B never got the message" trope bullshit. Writers need to remember that you can have the main characters be together and still continue the damn story.
I enjoyed this season, but there was too much love triangle and "will they, won't they" stuff. Jean/Jakob/Remi, Ola/Otis/Maeve, Eric/Adam/Rahim, Ola/Lily drama for a few episodes. And Viv has feelings for Jackson now which I hope won't be too problematic. I would like to see more platonic friendship scenes, therapy scenes or whatever. Not everything needs to be love drama. I feel like it wasn't that much and forced in season 1.
I'm a bit annoyed with the "will they, won't they" that just keeps dragging now. That text Otis sent to Maeve feels like such a cheap plot device just to keep them separated even though Ola broke up with him shortly after. When will writers learn that you can have the main characters as couple and still keep the show going? There's so much to explore in relationships and we have so many interesting side characters/plots in this show.
And I hope Jackson/Viv (and Meaeve/wheelchair guy) will stay platonic friends. They could be a cute couple, but this season just had too many people hooking up with each other already for my taste and writers need to learn that platonic relationships are a normal thing.
I'm actually not a fan of all the cheating/love triangles right now : Jean/Jakob/Remi, Otis/Meave/Ola, Eric/Adam/Rahim, possibly Otis/Ola/Lily. I hope this will resolve rather quickly because I'm usually just bored with love triangles. Most of the time we know who'll be together anyway.
Big applause for the ace representation though! I actually don't think I've ever seen a show where someone comes out as asexual. And the explanation was done so well by Jean. The way she explained some ace people still want romantic relationships and some ace people don't care about that at all made me so, so happy!
Randall really had to use his parents anniversary as security code, huh? I shouldn't be surprised, but somehow I still am.
I just really hope it's not Sophie next to Kevin. They were together during/after highschool, didn't work out. Then he wanted her back, they tried, didn't work out. If I recall correctly she's married by now and I just want them to move on. Not every love story needs to begin as teenagers and last a whole lifetime. I never even found her that interesting tbh.
I still found this part/season entertaining enough to binge it and some scenes like this last one were really entertaining, but in my opinion it's a huge drop in quality when you compared it to the first heist. The whole show should've ended back then. It doesn't even feel like the same writers anymore - Awkward conversations, unnecessary relationship drama, stupid plotholes and some of them are just forced to add more "extremeness" to the story etc.
I do hope Nairobi survives because she's one of my favorites in this show. And I actually thought Raquel is really dead which could've been used by the farmers to spread the truth about her death and make the police even more unlikeable in the eyes of the public. Now I wonder how they'll get out of this situation because they didn't directly kill any policeman on purpose before and now they just blew up their car(s?) and most likely killed some people in the process.
It doesn't feel like the same writers at all tbh. The previous two parts/seasons didn't feel as rushed with forced drama and unrealistic plot holes :/
Entertaining, but there are more and more small details that are bothering me and it feels like the duct tape situation in the bathroom stall over again - Why do Tokyo and some others have their faces revealed? The police knows now that another heist is planned, so every police officer should know their faces. Why were there so many people protesting outside the bank? What were they doing? Why did people stop collecting money? No one would have paid much attention to the big screen in real life lbh because there are millions of Euros raining down.
I also found the fight between Denver and Monica a bit dumb. Sure, Denver could have spent more time thinking about their child and refused to join the heist, but he was right about Monica - She's not a robber. She switched sides in the middle of the last heist and desperately used a gun once to protect Denver. She's not suddenly a professional badass. It would have made so much more sense to put her in the background with the Professor and Raquel.
