2 hours of comedy and entertaining action wrapped in a love letter to all the stuntmen
“When in doubt, ride the horse in the direction that its going.”
Even the cat is suspicious of this dude.
Ripley needs to get some advice of Dexter.
Such a messy guy.
aahhahahhahahahahahah THEY ARE HOPELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please someone pass a law or something for this.
I don't know why I keep watching these spin-offs... I am fed up, but can't stop... is there a Walking Dead Anonymous meeting I can attend?! :person_shrugging_tone1:♂:person_facepalming_tone1:♂
This is one cult classic of the late 80s, great action and great Rock.
Ah, the intrigue is great. The more Eddie gets involved the deeper he goes into the world of Drugs and murder. Some very funny banter. :thumbsup_tone1:
It looks like I’m cupping the balls lol
Oh man, this messed me up on another level. Such a beautiful comfort movie. Everything about this is comfortable, even the scary things. So creepy yet so cute, so strange yet so wise. The writing was so well done as was the execution. Every time I thought 'it's falling flat', I was proved wrong. It made it more cosy in a way. That as well as the score, all the sounds, all the acting, all the animations and cgis, all the everything. Ugh, I can't get over the wisdom and mystery behind this. Netflix has more misses than hits, but the hits really do hit. It's like an original copy of Interstellar. Life and mind altering type movie. Best Netflix movie of the year.
Yes yes, it's Interstellar but from Netflix...
But honestly I kinda liked it? A retro-futuristic Czech spaceflight with Adam Sandler delivering a decent acting job that got me more intersted in the book it's based on - which apparently has a very different ending too? That might be worth a shot!
Hanuš is wonderful tho!
This series is so entertaining! I encourage folks to watch if only for the ridiculous ways Hugh Skinner pronounces common words.
It's like watching The Crown all over again: useless monarchy, unskilled royals, hanging on to the job.
Kate as a Traveller, Bea and Eugenie as pointless princesses are my favourite characters.
Hilarious. Is t even parody? The lines are blurred.
Great news. Not 'Ended'.
Coronation special on the way soon and series 4 to be filmed later this year!
By squashing together two thematically juxtaposed storylines, American Fiction drives home its point about America's derivative, stereotypical and one dimensional take on race. Traditional media likes to pander, simplify and stereotype black lives, instead of just telling the breadth of variety to the black experience from each unique viewpoint. By showing both a satire of this oversimplification through Monks success, and giving us a window into Monks personal life full of family issues, relationship struggles and financial woes, we're given a running dialogue that equally critiques the current status quo while also showing the truth of a unique, valid black experience. For something with such a lofty message, American Fiction is very easy viewing; equal parts emotional, humourous and punctuated with a buttery smooth soundtrack, you'll be hard pressed to not finish this one if you start. Does its inclusion in the Oscar race play right into the very problem it's satirising though? That's another debate for another time.
With 'Poor Things', director Yorgos Lanthimos has created a film that has quite a few similarities with the box office hit 'Barbie'. Both are about women who start out as objects without any self-determination and, in the course of a journey, find themselves and discover their freedom. Both films also impress with fantastic costumes, good performances, and, most importantly, a phenomenal production design.
But, while I enjoyed 'Barbie', this Frankenstein story is in a completely different league. Lead actress Emma Stone delivers perhaps the best performance of her career, and Mark Ruffalo and Willem Dafoe are also great here. The absurd humor worked perfectly for me. I haven't laughed more in a movie all year than I did in this one. And ultimately, the world that Lanthimos creates is one that has never been seen before. It's really difficult to create something "new" in film in the 21st century, but that's definitely the case here.
All in all, I not only give "Poor Things" my highest recommendation, but it is also my favorite film of 2023.
"Who are you.......?
Your every nightmare at once..... An educated woman in a crucifix"
Hahaha marvelous
One of the funniest shows I've seen in awhile I laughed out loud the only problem i had was it took too long to start the actual show
At first I just wanted to watch something funny while I was eating, but it ended being super funny and relaxing. I would definitely watch again with some friends.
A hilarious stand-up comedy special that had me laughing hysterically. Maniscalco's observational humor and relatable anecdotes about family, relationships, and everyday life had me in stitches. He has a knack for pointing out the absurdity of our modern world in a way that is both funny and insightful. What sets Maniscalco apart is his physical comedy and energetic delivery, which adds another layer of humor to his already hilarious material.
Pretty much flawless comedy. Extremely funny, not using swears for laughs, relatable and amazingly well executed.
One of my favorite stand up hours of all time.
Endlessly quotable.
10/10
Holy moly, Ali Wong can be frank at times! This was some of the dirtiest stuff I have been exposed to in my (previously sheltered) life. But I guess that is part of the Ali Wong style
My partner couldn't watch it - but I did have to tell he some of the (censored) jokes. Underneath it all, Ali Wong is funny, and this continues her great work
Blaire's best episode so far. The interaction between her and Ted was great. Loved the Halloween outfits.
The Apple Pie igniting things is a great gag.
That end reveal had me laughing out loud.
this was intense and heartbreaking at the same time. best episode so far
