NO. THAT IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO END THE SEASON. THAT IS NOT A CLIFFHANGER THAT'S AN ENTIRE OTHER FRIGGING EPISODE!!!!!!!!!
To be honest, Lee is pissing me off at this point. I understood why she hated Jim for killing Mario way back when (even if I never understood why he didn't tell her that he was about to freaking kill her!!!). I don't understand why that's transformed into blaming him for literally everything in the world to the point of saying that he's "infected" the rest of the department . And not liking her sucks SO FREAKING BAD cause I used to love her more than absolutely anyone ever. I mean Morena Baccarin is just absolutely beyond amazing, I love her so much, ever since Firefly! Ivy being so utterly determined to wake up Selina was beyond adorable though.
The only reason I watch this show anymore is because I'm OCD and can't leave things incomplete.
The only reason I LIKE this show anymore is because Tabitha, Selina, and Barbara have the best dynamics EVER.
Although I will say Gordon rushing into that building to save everyone was pretty dang badass.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? I LEGIT DID NOT SEE THAT COMING
I have spent so much time shipping James and Lee. Seems like a sick joke now.
Best line ever. "How do you all change so fast?!"
Oh my god. Damien Darhk makes corny dad jokes. I am so happy right now.
Imagine a world where instead of just an entirely different iteration of (what I'm pretty sure is) the League of Assassins probably with Ra's al Ghul being the boss of bosses that Bruce is trying to meet we actually had an Arrow crossover here with the same actors and stuff. I mean, there wouldn't even have to be any mention. Just the same actors, or even just the same costuming or something. I would seriously die.
Stop watching here! Trust me! It's the perfect ending. The ending broke my heart. Go out on the victory lap and save yourself the pain!
I honestly can't decide whether I love or hate this show.
WHAT. THE FUCK. JUST HAPPENED?!?! They had the perfect ending! Everything wrapped up, victorious, no tears, flashbacks included! And then they fucking ruined it! And now I'm sobbing my eyes out on Christmas! According to Doctor Who that's enough to kill a villain so DIE YOU HEARTLESS WRITERS DIE! May your frozen hearts melt!
I really love watching one of the only moments of the series of Azula actually acting like a legit sister. Not necessarily decent. But at least an actual sister instead of an enemy with no blood relation. After all, what bonds family beyond lost or hated family memories? But, not as much as I love seeing even a psychopathic princess is self-conscious when it comes to guys lol
Nothing has ever terrified me more than Stewie's real voice.
Seth MacFarlane is always entertaining with his meta and going through the ten million characters he plays.
But gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh whole new person!
P.S. Dear god do I love Patrick Stewart
NO! F NO! THAT IS NOT HOW MARTIN IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE SHOW! I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS! I knew he was leaving but he's supposed to get a happy retirement!!! There's a deus ex machina coming isn't there???
haha, I remember this episode. Common theme in both this and Korra is friends being all jealous and insecure over how fast the Avatar learns lol
It does seem OP to not only get to know all 4 elements but to learn them easier too though lol
I cannot describe how happy this is making me. It's doing literally every single thing right. When Slade did the right thing and showed himself loyal and regretful and back to being such a great friend I seriously started just dancing I was so extatic!
And with Malcom sacrificing himself for Thea?! I mean surely there's no way they can actually say byebye to John Barrowman but oh my goddddd I started crying and it was just like oh my godohmygodohmygod!!!!!!!!!!!
Shoot. I just had the absolute WORST realization about this episode and the entire show. I'm a complete and total sucker for reformed villains. Preeeeeeetty sure that all started with Zuko although I don't remember for sure. But I just realized that the thesis of this entire show is that some bloodlines can be hardcore evil with 0 redemption in them. I mean Uncle Iroh's letter said that knowing about his great-grandfather would change his destiny, and then it turns out that the great-grandfather he meant was Roku, not Sozin. So does that mean that the only reason he had the opportunity to be redeemed was cause he had some non-evil blood in him? Cause that would majorly screw up my whole love of redemption thing.
Also am I sensing some love love between them or am I just biased after reading an article about how Sarah and Ava fulfilled the fantasies of Kirk and Spock?
I'm not sure this counts as spoilers since it's stuff that was covered in the promos but I'll mark this just in case.
I try very hard to keep politics and entertainment separate because I'm very much an escapist when it comes to my television. However, the CW hasn't shied away from tackling current issues in its shows, so I feel an exception is warranted in this case. That attention to the connections between their shows and ongoing matters made the opening statement from the prosecutor seem particularly tone deaf. He was talking about how we're raised to believe that our tax dollars go to training cops to be heroes, best of the best, protectors, and so on. For people like the prosecutor (white men) I suppose that's true. But it just felt...off.
No matter how much one tries to live under a rock, I would bet every cent I've got that there isn't a single person on this site who would find the idea of conflict between police and non-white communities to be shocking. And yet for that speech to just go charging blindly through that...I understand that it wasn't relevant to this case, even from a story-telling perspective. Both the accused and the victim were white after all.
But the CW has worked so hard to be inclusive towards everyone in their shows, not just in their casting but the storylines as well. And I suppose it worked well for the persecution, after all, they're trying to make Barry be a cold, heartless villain. And even with the news (which I feel safe to assume has come to Central City), I can certainly see drawing upon those feelings of betrayal to be an effective tactic towards those ends.
It just felt....wrong.
So how many other people are watching this cause of the announcement it's leaving Netflix? lol
For whatever reason, not only the number is off on this one, but Amazon also has a different title, "The Second Hand Unwinds".
Pretty sure this is the season (and show :-() finale since the ones listed after this on Trakt are blank everything and there aren't any other episodes on Amazon. I wish there were though....
Well. Other than the 30-second teaser at the end like shows always do, I sincerely have to thank the writers of Time After Time for wrapping it up so nicely so I can actually feel at peace. As long as I don't worry about being in WWIII in 4 years anyway. I have to wonder what would have happened if ABC hadn't been such gigantic dickwads and canceled it halfway through the season. I don't make any secret of being a big ol' softie when it comes to judging TV shows, and I did like it from the beginning, but I'm willing to admit the first few episodes were rather predictable. By the end of the season, it had become an entirely different show though. I wish I knew anyone else who watched it to get their opinion, but I really think it got dramatically better. It undoubtedly got darker, edgier, and more exciting, and while those don't always mean more enjoyable (see: every Batman made since Unlimited), I think in this case it did. I doubt it would have ever gotten a second season since if executives don't have faith in a show and don't care about even giving it a chance, there's nothing on Earth that can get it to survive (hence why we have Serenity) but I honestly think the reviews would have changed if they'd just freaking let the season finish.
It was at this point in the series that I began wondering how different life could have been if ABC hadn't been such complete dickwads and canceled it midseason since it was beginning to feel like an entirely different show.
Episode 2 on Amazon, since the first two are combined into one hour and a half special on it.
Oh my god it's George Takei. oh myyyyyyyyyyyyy
What. The. F.
I know I said I was pissed at Lee but JEEZ! At least she'll get some character development now I guess???
HA! I KNEW IT! I F'ING KNEW IT!
Can watch (as of April 2024) at https://m.wcostream.tv/anime/vixen-2015
I never fail to cry when Sozin shows up to Roku. But then he leaves them and I cry for a whole other reason.
Also what do you think it would be like if Aang got to train the way Roku did? I'd so love to see that.
omg so many things to quote in this episode that I actually had to come back here to comment even though I haven't in forever and a day
First of all, May as Agent Chastity McBride?! Hahahahahahahahahaha I can't even (earlier spoiler)
"SHIELD has been infiltrated by a HYDRA cell aided by sentient time-traveling aliens" "STTAs? Synthetic or organic?" I am absolutely desperate to know if that was actually an acronym or if he was just making it up to act like he was on their side (later spoiler
Also isn't this just the most beautiful circle you've ever seen? I mean SHIELD started with Project Insight and now it's ending with what if Project Insight happened 40 years early (well, 38 to be precise)
Am I a bad person for wanting them to fail and all go to jail? I mean this has just gotten so massively unrealistic. The thing that pisses me off the most is that I'm a prison rights activist and all I can think about is that they just ruined a program with empirical evidence behind its effectiveness to reduce rates of recidivism and reduce violent incidents while still in prison that's ahead of its time for god knows how many decades to come.
