This is the best one so far!! Amazing show. Poetic documentary. It’s hilarious.
Shit’s fucked up :ok_hand:
Too Old to Die Young is the best TV since Twin Peaks: The Return. It's something else: groundbreaking, beautiful, disturbing, adictive, demanding... Overflowing with style and personality and including several unforgettable scenes. I was hipnotized by Nicolas Winding Refn's masterpice. I didn't care so much for the last three episodes but that's probably my fault.
Absolute classic. Twisted, hilarious and fun as hell. Eric Cartman in all his evil glory.
Iconic. Cool Tarantino script, great directing and what a cast!: Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Samuel L. Jackson, James Gandolfini, Chris Penn, Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Brad Pitt, Val Kilmer...
"Jay Leno provides the meowing sounds for Cartman’s beloved cat, Mr. Kitty, keeping with their tradition of having big stars voice speechless creatures".
How cool is that lol.
Great film. Carey Mulligan is amazing in it. I just want to say: Death to the rapist patriarchy . Also, great soundtrack. Very cool all around.
This film is a mirror of the human experience. I felt deeply connected and moved by it. What a ride.
Best biopic I've ever watched. I loved the style they shot it in and the two timelines in the script. Great performances all around. Legendary complicated piece of music history told in an engaging way. We even get to witness the production of the best song of all time.
This episode hit me hard. Poetic and true.
It also seems to define the themes of this season and get things in motion in a very satisfying way.
I was high when I watched this and it was EPIC
With a thrilling script and a great cast, Gus Van Sant created a notable satire of tabloid journalism and wrong celebrity culture. Accessible and entertaining, but with a dark indie touch as well. I really enjoyed it.
I just binged the last four episodes.
I have loved Search Party from the start. It is such a great, fun thriller/comedy. A perfect parody of these self-absorbed young hipsters and the stupidity of the society we live in. We see good-natured Dory making a couple of silly mistakes which end up ruining her life... It could happen to any of us. You know, scary stuff.
But the show is so much more than that. It rings so true. Your friends won't be able to save you but you will still love them.
They went really deep in this last season with the themes of self-doubt and self-sabotage... What a tour de force for Alia Shawkat. She is amazing!
I love Search Party because I care about Dory and I hate/love all the other characters. I have laughed, screamed and even clapped at the TV. Also, great soundtrack. Oh boy, what a ride!
This show is great! What a treat for the fans. The script, animation, acting... they are all amazing. It feels like a really cool comic or RPG.
Slick sci-fi thriller/horror. Well executed but not that engaging for me. It felt like a David Croneneber film (Brandon's father) which is great. I loved the scenes about the displaced consciousness, with the mirrors and the creepy fluids. It lingered with me.
Entertaining film; keeps you interested with a nice (although sometimes messy) mix. Non-linerar story with a coral cast expanding two generations. Themes include religion, family, murder... All put together in a way it reminds of many previous films with a similar vibe. Good perfonances by Holland and Pattinson.
Masterpiece. Very unsettling. It successfully builds nearly incredible tension. Amazing acting and cinematography.
I loved it! Thrilling, immersing, non-linear script with classic horror themes but also kind of meta!
The circular ending and, just before that, the nightmarish interconnection of the stories shot in a more expressionistic style, wow!
A classic anthology film, innovative and precursor of favorites such as the TV shows Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955) and The Twilight Zone (1959)
Oh man, do I despise Walter :(
Oh my god everything in this episode. Wow!
We are living in the golden age of adapting graphic novels to TV shows (Watchmen, The Boys, Preacher...). As powerful and irreverent as they could only be in print before.
I was in awe throughout the whole episode!!
Sarah Paulson is of course amazing as always but oh my God, the setting, the photography, the music... All over-the-top 50s, Hitchcock, Herrmann... and deliciously weird! I mean, with a couple more hours at this level this would be already a mini series masterpiece. So let’s see. So promising! I’m excited.
Good start of the season (after ending the last one at a new high)!
The cinematography has changed and it looks great, somehow more expensive or maybe just along with the times, I don’t know.
I really dig the Terry Gilliam’s Brazil’s aesthetic in the abduction scenes. I remember how I loved the HRR Giger look at the end of season 5 and the movie. It’s good stuff and I approve the copy ;P
Oh yeah, another awesome season finale, as usual. By this point The X-Files is composed of a rich set of characters and mithology; and everyone goes "all in" in this episode!
In my opinion, the series started looking inwards this last season, still managing to keep all the tension and interest despite the repetition of classic themes and plots, but also acknowledging this while getting more creative, playing with references, digging deeper into the characters and eventually going for a very good melodramatic ending :)
The X-Files is unarguably a classic, age-defining show, which was still going strong during its 7th season, on the year 2000.
Amazing episode!! So much cool stuff: all the main characters in the game going hard! full on conspiracy stuff, with perfect suspenseful atmosphere (no wonder they even allowed themselves to rip off Cape Fear’s score! ;). This is what the best of The X-Files is all about, baby. XD
So much fun! I love comedic episodes and this is one of the best. I also love a good “on-shoulder camera” and this genious crossover episode delivers, of course. I even felt some Blair Witch Project vibes, I’m not sure which came first. Anyway, we have the classic Mulder vs. Scully (i.e. believer vs. scientist) clash, lots of thrilling action and great characters such as the queer black couple. So yeah, great episode from the classic TV series The X-Files, ladys and gentlemen XD
Well, it is all out there now. I love it. Thanks, X-Files. So satisfying!
My favourite episode of this season so far. Pam and Jim are breaking my heart. Also, I loved how they really went crazy in the last scenes with the salad shredding and the fight. So great :)
Amazing story beautifully told. I didn’t know about Vavilov. The stop motion looks gorgeous. What a great episode!
Jimmy and Kim, what a couple! I love them :) Great episode with Mike and Lalo too. I think this season is more Breaking Badesque and that's awesome!
