MFKZ is a really beautiful movie. I was looking forward to watch this, since I noticed the trailer for the first time, a couple of months ago. Visually impressive, I really loved the style that it is so unique and the animation overall is stunning. I have appreciated action sequences and the soundtrack that was always matching perfectly with every shot. The main characters are Angelino, Vince and Willy, a group of three friends, that one day have to face a serious menace for their life, they will discover a terrible mystery and they need to save the world from an invasion, before it is too late.
I really wish that we can have more of this kind of products and that they can be advertised a little bit better, in this way more people can actually watch something different. The ending leave things open, so I really hope to see sooner or later a sequel.
I had a big expectation for this movie. It seemed something different from all the thriller movie that are coming out in these last few years. I reality is a version of Saw, but less gorish and more "family friendly". I was not disappointed. The escape room element was very well used, all these enigmas to solve, you are really wondering where they will bring in the end. I have found the ending a little bit rushed, but it gaves room for a second movie. Let's hope.
I was never able to watch the whole movie, I always watched small pieces, when it was aired on TV. Finally in 2019, after more than 20 years after the original release date, I watched it from the beginning, until the end. What to say? It is a Michale Bay movie and even in the 90s he was overdoing with explosions and shootings. I did not catch the comedy. Maybe in the 90s was funny but right now, jokes are a little bit... sad. Definetely a movie that you wanna watch if you want something entertaining and you don't want to use your brain AT ALL.
Velvet Buzzsaw try to bring the horror in a different ambient, that we don't get to see so often in this kind of genre. It is not the best horror movie that I ever saw, but I have to admit that it has some good ideas. The movie tell a story about Dease, a painter that has a really dark past and his works are dangerous to everyone, especially the one that they are trying to sell them, because they are menat to be destryed. Paintings come alive and they simply kill them. The movie is entertaining and try to rappresent also the radical chic ambient of modern art made from eccentric people. Some deaths are pretty cool and original and the ending can have multiple interpretations. I suggest this movie to horror lovers, but I you can be a little bit disappointed. I was very hyped about this movie, but it is not what I expected. The original trailer in my opinion gave a lot of the story and I expected that they could give a little bit more about the story of this mysterious painter, but everything is explained in one fast sequience and you do not really get to understand the ending. Does the movie has a messagge? Is the movie sying that maybe we lost the real sense of art and we are metoforically killing us, sorrounding by art that does not mean anything, that does not have any inspiration and that artists make just to sell? Or it is just a random massacre of people? Maybe they wanted commmunicate something, maybe not. Anyway, it is a good movie to spend a couple of hours, if you want to watch something different.
What I liked about this trilogy is that it is completely different from any superhero movie out there. None of the three movies has big special effects, it is just a story that explain a different origin of superheroes. Here the concept of evil and good does not exist, there is always smething in the middle, and this is why I like it: here superheroes are not some mithologic creatures with superpower, but they are humanized. I am pretty bored of all these Marvel and DC movies and TV series: they have very beautiful effects, I have to admit it, but where is the story? In my opinion, comic movies lovers should watch THIS trilogy, and leave behind for a moment all these multimillionaire movies.
I decided to watch this movie, but I didn't know what to expect really. The documentary style made everything more realistic and scary. This is in my opinion on how you should do an horror. The movie always create tension and you wonder what is going to happen. Unfortunately is not very famous and it is not for everyone, but if you are a fan of horror and thriller movies, this could be a small gem that you may want to watch.
After watching the complete Purge movies, I have to say that I am quite disappointed with this one. The racism theme was stronger than ever, maybe a little bit too much, with all those referencies to nazism. For the First Purge they have isolated Staten Island (one of the poorest areas of NY) and transformed it a battlefield. At the beginning the experiment is not working, that's the government make appear some extremist groups. The beginning was good, because you wonder when actually the purge starts and how, but in the end we have a classic clan war, and some extremist groups killed by locals. Seriously, nothing impressive. Anarchy remains the best movie in the serie, for now. They have to push more, to show more gore, more action. I don't know if they will make a new one, considering that there is also a TV show,but if the will do a fifth one, well they have to do it better than this one.
The movie was amazing, McAvoy is an amazing actor. It is not easy to act so many parts in a single movie.

I did not know that this movie is actually part of a trilogy tìthat began in the very far 2000 with Unbreakabel, one of those movie that you don't hear a lot, and it was made almost 20 years ago, but if you want to fully understand the movie until the end, you need to watch also the first one, that it will be necessary to understand the third one, that was released on January 2019. I really hope that these two movies will contribute to revive a little bit Unbreakable, In my opinion these movies are very different from all the high-budget Hollywood movies and they actually try to present something original, which nowadays is really risky for the industry, especially at this level.
After all videogames, fanmade shorts and even an entire movie founded on kickstarter (which was very bad, btw), finally this was the first movie that we could considered made by cinema professionals. That's why I was so excited to watch it, because finally we could get a proper movie, that maybe could explain a little bit better the creature story, even if you can read it on the internet. But no we had a teenage horror drama, of this four girls that decided to summon Slenderman with a video. For sure one of the most stupid things that I have ever watched in a movie.
During the movie we see that characters are slowly getting crazy, because of Slender visions that blend the reality and take possession of them. In the end we discover that he simply take all the children and he integrate them in a tree, that should be maybe his house (?).
The movie in general was really, really bad and it is not scary at all. Not to mention that the CGI used was awful. I can understand in part, because it was a low budget movie, but still they should have done better.
At first I didn't want to watch this movie, but so many people are talking about it and I decided to give it a shot. The idea behind the movie is simply great, these monsters that you cannot see and that they take over you with your own biggest fears and they push to suicide is terrifying, because the movie never show you what happen to these people, what they see and this is even more scary. Sandra Bullock adventure is amazing and I really like the narration, how they make you discover the story little by little. I have really appreciated the presence of Sarah Paulson that is becoming more and more famous after AHS. I found the movie a little bit too long and sometimes there were some dragging scenes, but the movie wants to be slow, because it wants to scary you little by little. I really liked the movie and I really suggest to watch it because it is worth it.
