AHHHHHHHHH THE ICARUS MARS MISSION WAS LOST IN SPACE!?!?????
I’m so glad I rewatched all the older movies to be able to notice the Icarus mars mission that got LOST in space O_o… I hope they hint at it during Nova’s trilogy, but save them coming back for the next trilogy
Probably the best of the 5 films, Heston ruined the 1st and 2nd movie by giving up on the franchise because he was afraid of always being remembered as Taylor, 3rd was good but it had to try and pick up the pieces. 4th was amazing, and this 5th one was amazing
Imo there’s no multiple timelines here, I think it was a loop but this time Caesar broke the loop and changed history, Dr Zira coming back from the future is 100% what caused dogs and cats to go mute then eventually humans in the original 1-2 timeline (even tho nova proved we just need to learn how to talk again)
It’s definitely broken because of killing off the nuke religion people, Caesar’s forbidden zone goes away not that humans get their own land, Aldo’s first“No” isn’t remembered, also Aldo is dead and Caesars name is remembered
Unless they said Aldo was a gorilla in the first film I kind of feel like that aldo is Caesar in the loop
:sob::sob:don’t hurt me but Charlton Heston 100% ruined this movie, why sign up to be the main actor of a trilogy/“movie that was planned for a sequel”, then basically cry wolf about “protecting the 1st films legacy” when it sounds like he was scared of being type casted or remembered as Taylor
100000% this move would’ve been about nova and Taylor going farther into the us and seeing the ruins then finding the nuke people… zira, Cornelius, and Milo would’ve focused the whole movie on fixing Taylor/or Brent’s ship if he still showed up
If nova went out like that what was the point of her character? It’s was foreshadowed that humans don’t talk because no one’s taught them how, and they have never around talking apes long enough to learn as quickly as Nova
The episode could be summed up by a great quote from someone somewhere
“The night is dark and full of errors”
This episode is was actually a lot better visually wise when the lighting is fixed.
