I have just seen the first episode, and that is enough. This was awful. The acting, the story, the scenery. It also feels nothing like the games in it's "atmosphere", even with all its forced references.
But probably worst of all: it was boring.
One of the worst pilots I've ever seen. Steer clear of this one if you have any standard, even if you don't care about the games.
Very good anime. Mature themes and executed really well. It felt almost down to earth from time to time. For an anime, I'm not sure that's a good thing. But I liked it.
Unfortunately, this show is a bit too family oriented to truly be able to be interesting. And the jokes are way too simple and surface level. Cool concept otherwise.

The ideas seem so random and generic. It's like they always went with the very first thought that popped into their heads and as such very few things seems coherent.
It's also too long and drags on and on and on. It kind of seems it should have ended about halfway through but instead we get to suffer through 12 more episodes for some reason. Avoid this.
This really was nothing like the show at all. All people that say that this was just a longer episode: have you ever even seen the show? This was extremely different, and very clearly approached from another angle.
Well sadly, that angle did not work. The movie is awful and I highly recommend to people that actually care about the show to avoid this. I wish someone had told me that.
Well made movie, but I kind of fail to see the point of it? When it ended, it just felt a bit pointless to me, from a movie standpoint anyway.
This could have (she should have) been so much better. I understand it's a black comedy, and I admit that it was very unsettling at times, but it's just so much in this that simply doesn't land.

Absolutely shocking sequel. It almost seems like they tried to ruin the franchise as much as possible. Despite that, this movie is so "out there" that it has entertainment value. And the post-credit ending actually added some extra points for me. Not because the ending was good (it's not, it truly ruins the first movie) but because now I really want to see a third movie!
To some extent, this is a great movie. But it drags quite a bit and not all segments are as good as the others. It also has no real storyline to speak of. It just starts and then it ends, which feels pretty weird. Besides that, it's pretty nice and executes the concept well.

So this is the Mario movie huh? It's finally here. As a kid, what I would have given to see such a thing.
You know what my kid-self never would have thought about though? Seeing Mario sitting at the dinner table having his judgmental family bully him.
If it isn't obvious to literally everyone, that doesn't feel very "Mario".
But this is the era we live in now. To say the least, this is not a good Mario movie. And it's not a good movie in the general sense either. Actually, it's one of the worst movies I have ever seen, Mario in it or not.
The fact that so many reviewers are OK with this movie is a clear signal to how non-caring everyone has become with movies like these. Even when it's about Mario, apparently.
I honestly can't believe how awful this movie was. The premise, all the good reviews... I was very excited to see this. One of the most disappointing movies of all time.
I admit that this movie had some good and intense parts. But sadly it also had a whole lot of of unintentionally hilarious scenes. Not very good.

Storywise it is quite a mess. It's interesting, but there are many things that simply make no sense. And the pacing and ideas are all over the place. I mean we have a lesbian shaman giving an exorcism to a girl with Asperger syndrome . And the ending... perhaps it's just me but I didn't really get it. Honestly if someone could explain this ending, please comment because I really want to make sense of it.
The acting was great though. The feeling was so intense. It really sucked me in completely and I couldn't stop watching it despite the story. Though I wonder if they tried to make the sex scenes, eh, sexy? Or just creepy? Because they were so damn awkward, and some of the more unsettling things in this show. Maybe that was because of the main guy, which was incredibly creepy. Jesus that grin.
Overall I want to give this show a higher rating because of how intense and engaging it was. But with this story I simply can't.
Not the masterpiece some people seem to think. But a good movie nonetheless. It drags a bit in some parts too, although the ending is fantastic!
Fantastic movie. It has some humor but manage at the same time to be really really suspenseful. Some really good jump scares as well.
Also, the mood and the setting are great.
Honestly. I get what the movie was going for but... it is way too simplistic. The whole science part of it was seriously underwhelming. And the characters motives for doing what they do, seems a bit flimsy after a while. The acting is also not the greatest. And I expected much more from the twist as well. Funnily enough the twist is exactly like they say in the movie, too simple.
The science stuff and the magic is unfortunately what could have made this movie super interesting, and it is barely explored. Disappointing.

Also, what's up with these american movies wanting to always have a scene where people applauds and cheers a rescue they watch on monitors? This movie even has more than one such scene!
If you, like me, believed this was something more special thanks to the hype, trust me and just avoid this.
I liked it, but I really wished it had a better ending. And the "Robertas Blood Trail" extra arc does not help.
Also, the show feels pretty random at times. There is no real cohesion to stuff. Also Revy and Rock really should get a room.

The most boring movie I've ever seen. A cheap "documentary" where everything is explained through "interviews". Don't watch it.
Awful movie.
It's not clever at all. In fact, it's a very basic movie with a bad and overly simplistic story, bad and very flat acting, awful pacing and considering the "puzzles" and the plot twists are also awful - the movie just get boring.
The ending is also annoying in that it pushes christian values and vilifies others.
I have not read the books, and maybe they are better, but this movie is just bad in almost every way. Avoid.
Not as good as the first one, and this relies a lot more on cliches. Frankly the whole movie feels like a "best of" collection of stuff taken from other movies. However it's kinda funny, so it does what a comedy is supposed to do :) I only wish it would be more original, but then maybe everyone would have hated it, as was the case with the first one.
