This is the best show people never gave a chance
This is not "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
This is not a comedy.
This is not 1993.

This is a realistic take that fills in the gaps. As a Philadelphian born and raised, this show has made me proud. As the product of an urban environment, and as a black man, this show is telling a coming-of-age story that I've seen and lived. The family dynamic. Will not belonging. The struggles of a rich black man, even from his own community, trying to be accepted... this is reality and the acting, cinematography and wardrobe are FRESH. Thank you, Will Smith, for seeing Morgan Cooper's vision. I will enjoy this season, even if it's the only one.

There are some great individual acting performances including Jeremy Renner and Emma Laird. The premise and overall story are good. The plot holes and yeah rights are also aplenty and the leader of the crips has the worst pretending to be American accent I've heard in a long time. Suspend disbelief and just enjoy the show.

Shang-Chi is a top-tier Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. I will let the dust settle before giving it too many flowers too early but here goes... (spoiler-free)

• the action sequences? amazing. think crouching tiger and IP Man. I wasn't expecting Simu to crush it as much as he did.
• this movie really has a heart.. you care about the characters and their stories and situations from the jump. there are some emotional moments. the audience clapped quite a few times. we were also on the edge of our seats at times.
• It also has the right amount of comedy and Awkwafina is NOT the comic relief in this movie. I'll let you find out who is.
• they do an excellent job of tying this movie into events of the MCU both past and present.

My entire family enjoyed it. My teenage daughter cried, but she cries at everything lol. Can't wait to see it again!
