is this season really worth it? I've watched s02e01 and it's not really a great start...

I feel like they missed their shot. I see what they tried to do with the universe, the different stories etc, but ultimately they failed a few things and got a lot of issues with rythmes.
They also absolutely haven't talked about anything underground. Like ok you want to keep the mystery but come on, let us see how they work, what they are trying to understand etc...
Also, I was really thinking we would get to see why and how they created the loop.
Anyway, I loved how they told the stories of the characters, I loved the universe full of possibilities, but the rest was a meh, I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't really recommend it either...

I can't be mad at the cast, they get a lot of money for basically just having fun on a beautiful island...
But my god this is a really bad and uninspired movie. They could have at least written better dialogues, come on...

I really wanted to like this show but come on... almost nothing happens, they keep rehashing the same things over and over.
If they don't want to give all the answers but just focus on the impact on Royal and his entourage, that just doesn't work. The direction and script cannot compete with the leftovers sorry. Just stop beating around the bush already
Half of the episode spent on a boring useless plot. I can't stand the singing brother, why is he there? his only character trait is that he sings
Disappointing episode. Almost the whole episode on the police investigation... who cares!
And all this wasn't even well filmed or acted. If it wasn't for Brolin i would have fast forwarded. I hope the next one will progress the story

This was a big waste. Remove the casting and the title and nobody would dare to watch this. Holland cannot save a bad script, and walberg didn't even try. I didn't know Ali and felt she was doing a good job, but her character was really one dimensional.
I'd watch a 2 but with really low expectations and only if I had nothing else to watch :sweat_smile:
why is it so dumb... How can they put so much money on FX, location, casting, costumes etc and so little on direction, script and dialogues. I just don't understand if they simply don't care or if they are proud of it?
Almost nothing works in this show. I don't care about the plot, and I don't care about any of the characters. 3 episodes were enough for me.. I won't even read how it ends

most characters are annoying or boring, the show has nothing to say, i don't think I'll continue.
really entertaining! the best of those Netflix Reynolds movies I think.
There's still plenty of things wrong here, like the villain, the useless fights with the soldiers, the stupid ending fight. But still a good movie for what it seeked to be: a fun and entertaining movie.
At some point I'd like to watch Reynolds do a serious movie though, but not sure he wants to risk it.
finally a good episode, i like where the story is going.

It wasn't a perfect season, but solid enough to renew the show I hope.
If they take their time on the story and try to be a bit more subtle, it could be a great show. I just want a GoT in a vikings settings :sweat_smile:
They are not doing a great job with some characters development, it's a bit sloppy, especially fredrys and Leif.
It's so far from the level of writing of GoT for example.
They are maybe trying to put too much in one season
The problem with this show is that you have Zendaya's story and talent that keep you hooked, but half of each episode is about some teenagers drama that I find completely pointless.
I regret watching this season, I think I'd be better off watching just Zendaya's scenes or a YouTube recap to follow her story.

i really only watch it because of the actors and short format and the belief that it could work. But it almost never does. Total failure tbh. Sorry but this deserves to be cancelled, such a waste of talent.
Better than episode 1 for sure. Not great, but at least I laughed a few times, mainly thanks to Malkovich. Being a huge fan of the office and parks and rec, I can't believe how they waste good actors like that. Carell is normally so funny but this character is just bland.
