This is it folks, this is peak television. What we have here is one of the most gut wrenching and masterfully crafted episodes ever brought to screen. Absolutely fucking phenomenal with career best performances from Murray Bartlett and Nick Oferman. Holy shit this will stick with me.
Farewell Succession, there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll be remembered as one of the greatest TV shows of the modern era.
An engrossing, expansive, and incredibly well made film. It has it’s issues but for the most part it’s a very worthy sequel.
Hold up… this episode was fantastic! Can anyone deny this season is better than the first?
This is the end of an era and what a way for it to go. A truly impactful and breathtaking finale that will go down in TV history as a landmark in how to conclude a series in such an emotional way. Goodbye Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul universe, you’ll be missed but never forgotten.
Mia Goth’s monologue in the third act is chilling, absolutely chilling in a way that’s both vulnerable and eerie. Between this, X, and the upcoming MaXXXine I think it’s safe to say Goth is already a horror icon.
Rhea Seehorn at her finest hour. In this episode she delivers one of the best performances of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad combined. Master class of acting in every way. That ending is chilling too.
Damn. This is such a phenomenally, phenomenally engrossing show that’s ability to connect on an emotional level is truly unparalleled within the world of television. I’m gonna go to the store buy a box of tissues, grab a pen and write on them how much I love this fucking show, then cry into the tissue.
Two episodes in and I’m already convinced by the end of the season this will be regarded in the same vein as GOT, Chernobyl, and Breaking Bad are one of the best shows there ever was. This is some seriously impeccable television.
Everyone gives phenomenal performances in this episode but damn, Rhea Seehorn is on another level.
Seriously a fantastic film. Some of the best acting, direction, writing, and cinematography you’ll see all year. Kerry Condon better win an Oscar for this.
Another excellent episode. I felt my heart ache at the parallels made between Logan & Ewan’s brotherhood and Kendall & Roman, the key connections between the women Logan loved, and so many other thematic elements utilized in the masterful fashion the final season of this show has excelled at doing. Can’t wait for the finale.
Also four words.
Kirean. Culkin. Emmy. Now.
Holy crap that was intense. I fucking loved every second.
Just as unapologetically sentimental and sweet as I remembered, I’m so so glad this show is back.
Wow this show truly is becoming the Breaking Bad of comedies. What a phenomenal finale. Every single person involved with this show needs an Emmy now.
This season hasn’t been the greatest so far but this episode was quite special. If you’d told me this episode was the finale of this show I’d be incredibly satisfied.
Been a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis for a while now so seeing her win an Oscar and then deliver what might just be the best performance of her whole career in this episode just in the span of a couple months is incredible. An all around amazing episode of television too.
Went into this show expecting a fun time and while I definitely received that the outcome was something much more special. What a consistently surprising mystery with an excellent mix of humor brought to life by many incredible actors who have impeccable chemistry with one another. All three leads are coming for Emmy nominations and no one can stop them. Hands down one of the best shows of the year so far.
Minari is an emotionally engaging and beautiful film. I had just learned this film existed a few weeks ago but since this film was getting such high praise I went into this with pretty high expectations. This is such a gentle yet emotionally straining film, it’s truly a special experience to watch. The plot is great it’s an entertaining and deeply engaging story. It starts off as a story that has been told before but becomes much much more. The pacing is great from the first scene until the credits role it’s well paced. The acting is great Steven Yeun and Yeri Han give great performances. Yuh-Jung Youn gives a fantastic supporting performance, she is easily one of the best parts of this film. Alan S. Kim and Noel Cho give great child performances as well.
The direction is fantastic from Lee Isaac Chung, his direction is incredibly impressive and you can tell he was very passionate about making this. The script is great it’s a memorable and very well written script. The cinematography is fantastic, this film is full of shots that are so beautiful it’ll make your jaw drop. There is a certain shot where Jacob and Monica are watching the kids playing in the hospital waiting room and the camera focuses back and forth on the two faces. That one shot perfectly captures the story of the characters in less than a minute. The editing is great and the score is great as well.
The comedy is very subtle but when there is comedy it’s wholesomely funny. In terms of the Oscars there’s a strong possibility that this will sadly be overlooked/snubbed. If this did get it’s deserved attention from the academy I feel this would probably get nominated for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Supporting Actress: Yuh-Jung Youn. The ending scenes of the film are very emotional and the last shot is just brilliant. Overall Minari is wonderfully wholesome and emotionally engaging film that is truly a special movie.
(9 out 10)
This show grows on me stronger each week. It’s a top tier 30 min comedy series.
Jeremy Allen White is delivering some outstanding work, really the whole cast and crew is. A great season finale for a great show.
Sarah Goldberg Emmy win now.
Maybe the most moving and emotional film ever made?
The way I squealed when the RV door was first revealed…
Maybe the greatest film ever made? probably yeah.
One of the weirdest and most unique films I’ve ever seen. Definitely a trip, hard to call it an enjoyable one but certainly one I look back on with a sense of respect.
Oh yeah Adam Driver shows his bare butt and a wooden baby is carried into the super bowl halftime show by a flock of drones. Trippy.
Overly dramatic? Yeah at times.
Bits of slow pacing? Sure I’d say that.
A poetic and nightmarishly atmospheric story that’s stood the test of time because of it’s universal themes ingeniously executed by the truly extraordinary performances? Absolutely.
Farewell Mrs. Maisel, you’ll be missed.
Just as enamoringly riveting, twisty, emotional, and darkly hilarious as it left off. I’m sure Barry is about to take us on an unpredictable ride with this final season.
