VIPAre the positive comments here bots? Surely you can't actually think this is good ... right? The dialogue is no short less of a fan fiction, the story is no much better. What I find more ridiculous than this movie existing is the fact that Princess Elodie decided to take off her "uncomfortable" attire but still keep her corset on the entire movie...for the sake of having a ...badass girlboss outfit? I don't know.

I imagine if you watch 5 movies a year or only watch soaps this probably lands well.
For anyone else however...
6.9/10. This is a pretty stock story. I was rolling my eyes at Jet from the minute he swung down from the trees as a cutrate Peter Pan with his collection of Lost Boys. There's a fairly hackneyed arc for Sokka where Katara and Aang make fun of him for "trusting his instincts" and leading them into trouble, then of course it's his instincts that save the day when the two of them get hoodwinked by Jet. It's done well enough, even if the bits with Jet flirting with Katara while plays Cassandra about how bad a dude Jet is and no one will believe him feels especially hacky.
Still, the backgrounds and setting of the episode was particularly gorgeous, with the fall colors and vibrant reds contrasting nicely with Aang's robes and Jet's autumn-hued clothing. Their fight up in the trees was a pretty cool setpiece as well, though again the stuttering animation takes some of the oopmh out of it. And I have to admit, I bought into the fake out at the end, and was ready to applaud the show for having the moxie to show the bad guys winning. Still, Sokka managing to Xander it up and find an unorthodox solution by following his instincts, Zeppo-style, is a nice bit of redemption for him despite the stock nature of the conflict.
My only other complaint is that there's something very interesting about the idea of a young adult who's lost his parents due to the Fire Nation's brutality, and is willing to inflict the same level of brutality on the Fire Nation, civilians and all to get his revenge and protect his band of brothers. Instead, the entire focus for Jet is on his ability to smoothtalk and manipulate others, eventually painting him as a fairly one-note villain. There's some thematic depth to the idea behind the character that the episode barely scratches the surface of.
Overall, this one feels like something of a placeholder episode, meant to give a little more depth to Sokka but ending up giving him a stock arc with a pretty obvious trajectory. But it's not without it's charms and it has some quality design work, so it's close to passing grade.

Couldn't have said it better.
Garbage. Some of the dumbest, misinformed satire I’ve ever seen. Even if you ignore its fascist argumentation and pretend it’s just meant to be stupid nonsense, it still reeks of that typical unfunny early 2000s comedy. Just because you’re making a movie about stupid people, doesn’t mean your movie needs to be equally as stupid. This has no real vision, annoying performances, cheap use of music, bland cinematography, no attempt at writing proper jokes; it’s awful. It’s kinda sad because you could probably make a really great satire about the complete dominance of stupidity in society, democracy or whatever, in fact this is coming from someone who can easily get annoyed at all of that. However, this film only has one trick up its sleeve, which is to portray the stupid masses through as many different caricatures as possible. It’s like watching Adam McKay if he somehow became even more middlebrow after making Don’t Look Up. Please skip this, the joke’s really on the people here who think it’s good because ‘wELl ThIs Is a DoCUmenTarY nOw’.
2/10

I bet you got your feelings hurt on the profanity. Grow up.
Horrible. Just plain horrible. I struggle to find anything good to say about this movie.

I can give you 2 good reasons.
I like the crual nature they showed. I wish it wss for a different setting though.
There was little to no point in having the subject be jezus... If they hasn't spend the first 15mins talking about it it could have been a random dude for all we know.

Not sure why you are mad... It's objectively true. I'm not even saying it's a bad movie.
Tbh, I don't like season 3 that much. Idk why exactly.

It's the resque the princess arc... Had they wanted us to care we'd need a season of Wiene before figuring out she was a monster so there was an emotional attachment.
did the mappa team resign? the animation is so ugly in this episode.

They hired actual 2D artists for the combat. It's an outsourced crew who has to pick up Mappas mess.
I have not watched such a beautiful, wonderful and perfect movie in the last few years. Netflix, the crew and the cast were all great. There is nothing to say about the subject of the movie. They really do this sport. I would like to thank all of them for presenting us this beautiful film. I've been added to my favourites. I don't know if such a good movie will be released this year, but for now it's number one on my list. Well done to everyone for their efforts. :blue_heart: :blue_heart: :blue_heart:

She gave the Tomb Raider remake a 10...that should tell you enough.
@arh85 What does that even mean ?
loading replies
It means obviously forced "look how strong she is" vibe that dominates the movie.
It's intellectual dishonest to pretend you don't know.
why does this have such a low rating

How is 7/10 bad? It's rating reflects the show well. :)
A sexist, rascist show, with terrible acting, equally bad music, not to mention the sets that look like the pages of bad decoration magazines ... no imagination, no interest. Pirates truly deserve better than that. Run away !

I wonder if you look through every historic show with a modern lense.
A truly amazing film! Watched it twice in one day. Funny and heart-warming. Fantastic performances from the two male leads.

Jamie is such an annoying pain in the ass. Can't wait for his character to die.
loading replies@celozzip Beth is actually one of my most favorite characters in the show. When I read the comments after watching an episode, I always find myself being pro-Beth and anti-Jamie, while everyone who comments is usually anti-Beth and pro-Jamie :joy:

So you're a sociopath... Interesting. No healthy human being would cheer for Beth. A great character for sure... But one you should hope to die.
