Not sure why is everyone bashing on this movie, yeah Nicolas Cage performance was nothing to talk about but over all I think it was a very entertaining movie.
This movie was a nice surprise, I think it was a really good heart warming movie, I was really impressed by Maggie Elizabeth Jones (Rosie Mee)
I am a big Denzel fan but I did not enjoy this movie, for a movie of the suspense genre it doesnt even try to surprise you, I was waiting for the twist to discover there wasnt one, the only redeeming value of the movie is the good acting of Denzel and Ryan Reynolds and some OK action sequences, I really wanted to like this movie but you cant help the feeling that you've seen this a hundred times.
Very nice cast and they did a great job for the most part, very entertaining movie.
This one had really good potential but fell flat by the second half of the movie, acting was mediocre at best and I'm fine with that as long as the movie doesn't take a dive after an interesting start, very cheesy ending killed it for me.
I'm baffled by this movie, it seems to me that 1 person wrote the script for the whole movie except the final 10-15 min because the movie was quite enjoyable until those last few scenes where it just fucks up the whole idea.
I'm not usually into musical type of shows but I cant get enough of this one.
I did not enjoy the first half of the movie as it was very slow for my taste but about 40min in I was hooked even though I didn't know whats going on, this is definitely not for everyone but I urge you to keep watching even if the first half hour bores you as you will understand it was necessary for the build up to the end. With this Portman is probably my favorite female actress of this generation & I doubt anyone else could portray the character the same way she did, over all this is a great movie and well worth the watch.
So hoping for a sequel, great movie.
Anyone seen this ? been in my library for ages but never felt like starting it, don't know why.
Brilliant bloody movie
As soon as I saw the trailer I remembered Primal Fear, it kinda borrows from that heavily with a different plot line & story, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this movie, as always you expect great performance from Anthony Hopkins but Ryan Gosling was a really nice surprise and a breath of fresh air that multiplied the quality of this movie, I'd say it's one of those hidden gems that many will pass on which they shouldn't.
Between all the comic book superhero movies this is by far my favorite & Heath Ledger's Joker is so brilliant that I can't imagine anyone else playing that role.
I haven't read the book but as a zombie type flick this was a great movie, I loved it.

Just started watching this today, loved the first 4 episodes hope the rest is just as good, reminds me a bit of Raising Hope & Community
One of my favorite tv shows, I didn't enjoy the first episode much so give it a few episodes it'll grow on you.
Quite enjoyable but not as good as the first one, I still don't like how they are portraying Sherlock Holmes' character & it gets boring at some points but over all it's a fun movie to sit through & I agree with holy_fire I think the last 20 min is so much better than the rest of the movie.
What a POS movie, avoid at all cost.
One of my favorite movies of all time, I can rarely sit through a two & a half hour movie without feeling bored at some point during the film but (for me anyways) there was never a dull moment in this film, acting was superb specially Daniel Day Lewis (The Butcher) but the whole cast was fantastic, this is a must watch movie & I strongly recommend it for everyone.
Good movie, boring at some parts but good overall.
Because of the theme some people are comparing this to 300 but thats where the similarities end, this was a huge waste of time, avoid if you can.

I loved this flick, acting was top notch specially Gerard Butler, I expected a slow movie that will drag a boring story for 2 hours but on the contrary it wasn't fast paced but not slow either and filled with interesting characters and a brilliant story.
I agree not sure why did it get that many bad reviews, certainly not a bad movie at all I enjoyed it.
First episode was much better than I thought it would be, I have high hopes for this.
I'm not a fan of Statham & I don't remember a movie I liked after the first Transporter but I did enjoy this one a lot, I haven't seen the original but I thought this was so good that it made me want to watch the Charles Bronson one.
Doubt they can fix the show, cheesy dialog, mediocre acting. was hoping for a true SciFi serie but it's just not happening with this show. I'll keep watching for now just because I don't have anything else to fill the SciFi void.
Just starting with the show, so far it's great I just wish they would invest more in the other characters, sad that they only made 1 season.
