Entertaining. That’s about it. With such a great cast it could have been better, but Kevin Costner was the highlight for most of it.
Great camera shots and soundtrack but an utterly forgettable cast. I had no idea this was part of a franchise. I tried to be too clever for its own good.
Car Chase: The Movie, brought to you by the all-new 2022 Dodge lineup, and staring Jake Gyllenhall now streaming on Prime.
I didn’t realize this was actually a Michael Bay movie until the end during that terrible ending when my brain and the ending credits said “ directed by michael bay “ at the same time.
Worst camera work of all time. Good action movie with lots of loud noises and dumbness but way too long and exhausting to watch.
I had low expectations for this only because the trailer made it look pretty bad.
This was fun to watch, Iman Vellani was adorable. I’ve only seen half of Ms Marvel, but I thought she was great and added a fun dynamic to it.
Story was typical Marvel, the power switching was inconsistent but a neat idea and the ending seemed anti climactic.
I would have gave it a 10 had that got awful lip sync job wasn’t so bad! Great episode otherwise.
I couldn’t get past the fake snow. Especially after recently watching Society in the Snow. I know that probably sounds petty, but watching Naomi thrash around in styrofoam pellets just destroyed any believability for me. I didn’t rate it, but I turned it off after 20 minutes.
I normally love these type of movies but I don’t think Marky Mark was the right pick for it. I just couldn’t get into it. It was too long and drawn out as well.
I haven’t seen Alive, or the original. This was a bit long but it was done very well.
I’ve only seen the first 3 Saw movies. Thought the first one was great and then the rest were just gore porn. This one seemed more like the first one. Not as much pointless gore and a little more storytelling. I thought CR was pretty good considering it was CR, but it’s hard to take him seriously since I’m a huge fan of his standup.
Well done, a moderately less violent version of Narcos. Seemed like they rushed through the ending though, especially since it only took 14 minutes to drive from Miami to LA a couple times!
I may have rated it higher if I watched it 20 years ago when it came out. Obvious but odd way to end it.
Speed in a Mercedes. It’s a time passer, has a few good moments but definitely not one Liam’s better films.
John Beyoga was incredible in this. Such a sad story and made me angry about how vets are treated, and I’m not American.
It was the right length too as there wasn’t much to the story, which I thought was the right choice. No need to add filler and over sensationalized BS for something like this.
Filled with cheese, but it was a great inspirational story. Didnt realize it was based on a real player, but I thought it was well done.
Wonderfully done, I was anxious this whole episode thinking Ritchie was going to do a Ritchie.
Jesus Christ that was hard to watch. Almost turned it off near the beginning as I think I was getting ADHD. Glad I kept going because it was an utterly beautiful disaster. What an incredibly well written and acted episode. My fucked yp family seems so normal now.
I gave up after two episodes. The first season was awful, and this didn’t start out any better. That said, it has an 80% rating here so when I’m bored I might give another couple of episodes a try.
This felt longer than the runtime, but I’m not sure it would have worked it if was shorter.
Same old “end of world” story, but from a different perspective. I thought there were too many tension buildups with no payoff.
The only thing I knew about this going in was my wife saying “I want to watch the new Julia Roberts movie, it looks creepy though”
The score was great, the shots were beautiful and the performances were great as well. Did anyone else think the little girl was the wimpy kid from F is For Family?
I found this difficult to rate. Powerful and heavy, great performances but dreadfully slow. There wasn’t much to the story and the ending did feel rushed like a few others said.
Seemed like an ending where they knew that was it for the series. Overall I enjoyed it but it was really a series with the same episode rerun 20 times.
“FIX IT!!!!”
“I’m working on it”
“FIX IT!!”
“I’m working on it…”
Etc.
Thandiwe was brilliant in this. If you love deep characters, give this a shot. Her misdirected anger and desire to get a sliver of control back in her life was portrayed so well, I got completely sucked into it.
Good couple of first episodes. My only complaint is that everyone mumbles and I have to keep rewinding or cranking the volume. Maybe it’s just old ears….
This is what happens when you try to increase the drama every episode. Still enjoying this show though but it does require some suspending of reality. This is very much like Dedicated Survivor.
So bad it’s good is about all I can say. Neat concept but terrible, terrible acting all around and very bad dialogue and screenplay. It’s like in some scenes they didn’t have enough dialogue so it seemed like people were waiting for other people to talk. I hope they intended this to be a b-movie horror, much like Jack Frost (the one with the killer snowman, not the michael Keaton one).
Wow, that was bad. IMDB says it had an estimated 7 million budget and grossed half a million. Whoopsie. I could tell by the opening title animation it was going to be bad. A few good special FX spots but looks like they ran out of money near the end as the time of day and weather changed quite a bit from scene to scene.
This is a few tweaks away from being very good. Interesting story but let down by a few bad decisions about how the story unfolded. This was a perfect time for Channing Tatum since it didn’t require much other that a stunned look on his face for the whole thing.
Seemed to fall apart a little at the end given the extreme hype and build up throughout the 3rd act, but otherwise a good finish to the season. Almost seems like the ending was decided on without knowing of they’ll be back for another one.
Great start to the season. Story seems well put together so far, just the right amount of detail to not be overwhelming or to give it too many holes.
Utterly disturbing albeit not much to the film overall. Seemed long for a short run time, but if you can get sucked into it, you will lose a few nights sleep.
The ending was dragged out far too long for my tastes. Otherwise it was a good season.
