8.2/10. Now that's more like it! A lot of interesting things set up for this season, like the presence of Gary Cole (Bingo Bob!) as a White House rival for Selina, Gary's new girlfriend who thinks everyone wants him, and the return of Congressman Furlong and his tet-a-tet with Dan. The humor was on point here, with Mike's money troubles being a good source of laughs of all things, as well as the President's chief of staff moping around with the midterms going so poorly. The twist of Selina trying to position herself as having a bigger role in the administration thanks to her 0.9% bump (via Kumail Nanijani!) and realizing that it means ton more less than fun work is a nice one. And Selina, once again, being kind of a jerk to Amy about going to see her sick dad, is a kind of bold beat for the character. Plus, the fact that we get to see Amy's family giving it to her from the other side is a nice touch that helps humanize the character a bit. All-in-all, it's a big improvement on pretty much all of the first season, and a hopefully a nice indicator of what's to come.
