A Combiner created by the magic of the long-forgotten Enigma of Combination, Victorion believes that her existence is owed not to simple chance, but to the will of Primus. Starscream has always been a villain. Being second-in-command to Megatron made leadership, always just out of reach, a tantalising prospect to the Decepticon, and for a long time he schemed, and struck, and failed, and then schemed again, never giving up on the dream of taking command. And then one day, the dream suddenly came true.
Alongside Rodimus Prime and the Camien Mistress of Flame, Starscream now sits on Cybertron's ruling council, and has unexpectedly found his lust for power gone, replaced by a newfound sense of responsibility. With the Combiner Wars having begun, leadership is a heavy burden – one that has changed Starscream forever.

Forty years after the conclusion of the Great War on Earth, the Autobots and Decepticons are no more and Optimus Prime and Megatron are relics of the past. Cybertron is at last at peace, ruled by the triumvirate of Starscream, Rodimus Prime, and the Mistress of Flame. However, the Enigma of Combination, an ancient artifact of Primus, has triggered new conflict through the creation of huge, dangerous Combiners, and now Cybertron's fragile peace is in danger of collapse.
Titans Return picks up where the destruction of Combiner Wars left off when a new threat is revealed in the form of the massive Titan named Trypticon, who has awakened under mysterious circumstances to wreak havoc on Cybertron.
After Megatronus eliminates Optimus Prime and claims the Matrix of Leadership and Enigma of Combination for himself, the other Transformers robots look to Megatron to lead the charge against their diabolical foe.
