Taken in consideration that I have not yet watched the finale, I absolutely hated this episode. It was certainly haunting, well written,. produced and acted, but it was completely unnecessary. As a matter of fact the entire supernatural subplot of this show is the weakest part. We don't need a curse brought on by a schizophrenic, blinding old preacher to make the bigotry of this nations past (present and future) be any more damning. People, real, human, natural people lived thru the very things this family did, with only human hatred to blame. Our past, in this matter is shameful, more so because we haven't seemed to change much.

First half was a sleeper but picked up in the second half.
Superb episode,explained everything that had happened in previous episodes to me.
