Ugh. The baby William story arc is so tiring. This time, a man posing as a severely burned and scarred Mulder tries to get to baby William. Scully, as an FBI agent, not to mention Reyes and Doggett hanging around her apartment, fail at protecting the baby. I've got an idea...bring the baby in whatever room you, or half of the FBI, are sitting in!!! Problem avoided!
Finally, after the baby is basically abducted by the burned man, Scully decides William will never be safe. This sets up a touching but totally heavy-handed ending. Mercifully, this must bring an end to the special baby William story line.

I knew it was Spender early on, it sounded like the actor. I imagine if you were watching this live and it had been years since you last saw him then you might not guess who it was.
So, we get 100% proof that cancer man is Mulder's Father, and i don't like it. I preferred when it was up in the air and fans could have their own theories and make their own determination.
I do like bringing Jeffrey back, even though he was shot and presumably killed seasons ago. But jeez, did they have to bring him back like this? Horrifically scarred.
So, William gains an innate defensive option against the super soldiers. Then Scully gives him up. Ugh.
First the writers kill off The Lone Gunmen and then in the next episode make Scully give up William.
It's a good enough episode on it's own, but it's an utterly disgusting decision to have Scully give up William. Disgusting behavior from the writers, specifically Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz.
