The Black Oil is explained. There are some neat scenes with Kryczek and a salvaged UFO in a abandoned North Dakota missile silo. Actually, the scenes are downright creepy. I like the black oil as villain. Nice to have it not just be about alien "grays" and certainly more interesting than the square-jawed shape-shifter bounty hunter alien.

The second part of this story is better, but overall I am not impressed with these episodes of the mythology arc.

Wow, great episode. The effects they use on Crychek at the end are really gnarly.
