I almost feel bad giving this such a high rating because the concept of a necrophiliac is so horrible. Donnie Pfaster collects hair and fingernails. Scully struggles with the case.

Didn't enjoy this. This is not an X-Files episode to me. Those rating it highly might like this type of show, but it's not my belief that this is what X-Files should be about.
A precursor to Criminal Minds maybe, a lot of the same beats are there.
Scully gets abducted
Some episodes later
Scully gets abducted again
Ugh.
A good villain, but the episode is hampered by the not so good writing for Scully. I get dealing the with effects from what happened to her, but we've already had 4 episodes since then, and moments of dealing with it in each of them. Chris Carter writes the episode as if her previous abduction happened last episode. It just doesn't work. Then there's the ridiculousness of her being abducted... Again, some episodes after her last abduction. Ugh.
Disturbing... To say the least
This episode was so good that it kept me at the edge of my seat during the whole time.
The concept of necrophilia is so sick and crepy. What is even worse is that Donald Pfaster looked like a normal guy and unless you pay much attention to his manners and attitude, nothing will suggest that he is a fetishistic serial killer.
Feeling sad for Scully, that was her second abduction this season.

Poor Scully. :( Seeing her sad and helpless really was weird, normally she is such a strong woman.
