Mulder & Scully best detective duos ever ahh! talk about creativity, subtlety and great chemistry. everything about this show is so refreshing so intriguing
"It's not just a TV Show but gives many valuable lessons for life. Especially, the importance of having an open mind and on top of all, no matter what we think or do, The Truth Is Out There. The best ever..."
Sure glad I have it added it my favorites on Netflix :D
It's nice to see David and Gillian together again on Comet TV on the Stirr app!
One of the All Time Top 10 shows. They created a whole new genre with X-files. I still remember the vivid discussion I had with my friends about the plot.
I was expecting so much that they were bringing it back but then I think my expectations were too high. Not even worth watching, I think in the 90s I could believe it more.
Purchased the complete series box set this weekend so now I'm binging the whole thing. Best purchase of 2017.
Ok after that ending this show had better be returning next year. Can't wait for next season.
Truly the best show, anyone could ever watch! A solid 10/10 from me; I never felt the show slow down, or lose its purpose. Bravo!
how incredibly exciting that theyre bringing it back! theyre saying its only six eps, but ill take what i can get. AHHH
With a tilt to the nightstalker, this series took tv to a place which has spawned a great deal of the scifi/paranormal/conspiracy genre since. It enabled (for better or worse) a new series or programs to be created... Vampire...zombie... Modern takes of fairy tales. The thirst from the audience was created here. It's not that all the episodes were great. Some were average at best, others-brilliant.
What the series did was plugged into the psyche of the current audience and create an alternative to historical dramas and blowing things up... It allowed the audience to question
Back in the day, I was such an X-Phile. I still am, I guess, because I can't stop re-watching it.
I discovered the series in 1996 or 97 with episode 12 of season 3, when I was around 4-5 years old. The intro with the beginning of the episode terrified me and gave me nightmares at the time but 10 years later, I was able to watch this series with a more mature (and adapted) look and I fell in love with it. lover.
Beyond the memories and nostalgia, this excellent series presents episodes that are sometimes far-fetched as well as a very boring season 9, not to mention the useless 10 and 11 which are in excess.
I would only recommend for the first 6 seasons, 7 and 8 are reserved for the most interested.
It's taken me years to watch this entire series from start to finish. Watching the first five seasons of the show as it originally aired was one of the best television experiences I can recall. The continuing storyline (the "mythology") held my interest back then, but after the film "Fight the Future", I never continued watching.
I purchased the entire series on Blu-ray a few years ago and have finally made my way through it all. The mythology half of the series finished as a complete mess, and it's really too bad because this show's fun, anthology, "monster-of-the-week" episodes are what made the series great.
I'm giving this a "10" despite the sloppiness of the mythology. There are many episodes of "The X-Files" that are truly great and are among the finest episodes of TV ever. Its influence is unquestionable. I'll probably never re-watch the entire series again, but will definitely revisit many of the episodes that made the series great.
This series falls off the rails after a certain point, but it has enough high points to absolutely be considered a classic. Some genuinely horrifying stuff came out of this series, but it’s shockingly funny as well.
When I watched this when it was first broadcast I thought it was out of this world. Now, as I've grown older, maybe a bit wiser and certainly jaded by life's turmoil, I now see it as conspiracy theory dogshit (for the most part). The best episodes revolve around urban myths, traditional legends and those stories that don't take themselves too seriously. Which is a shame. It started off at a rose tinted historical 9/10 and ended up with 6 to 7/10 tops.
The return of Mulder and Scully after many years did the show good. After many years, the additional episodes maintained the level of an amazing series about aliens and government conspiracies. :) And although after years they sound a little less serious, it will remain one of the classics of the genre.
Go to series, even in repeats. In its day, it was a must see. Week. By. Freakin. Week.
A must see.
3 Thoughts After Completing ‘The X-Files’:
I actually finished the series a few years ago, but held out hope that it wasn’t done yet. Alas, it is.
I rated this show an ‘8’ which, after the latest season, makes me question such a generous decision. But… the truth IS out there: this show is ICONIC. Our main characters had a chemistry unlike anything else. It was a game changer for the genre. Genuinely creepy and compelling stories. And although the mythology gets a bit muddled through the years, it was GREAT TV.
It’s so tragic that it ended on the note it did. So weak for something that was once so strong. I can’t blame Gillian Anderson for not wanting to return.
The only problem with the X-Files is that Chris Carter didn’t know how to end it. In neither of the series finales.
I only watched 2 seasons. So, i can change this after watching all.
For me, it was a beginning to entrance to great world of x-files. It gave me enjoyable times while watching. Despite it is from 30 years ago almost, I learned lots of things.
The 90s camera view, showing their faces, scully's green eyes. It is really nice. Thinking that those series came until 2018.
Some of the episodes are not so informative or teaching, even disturbing but I really enjoyed every minute. Mulder is a dedicated, hardworking person. He is inspiring.
Freaking amazing series! I was terrified of this show growing up. Mostly from the intro music, but now I'm binge-watching it lol
I love this show. Although the newest two seasons are different, it still fits the show.
Series 1-9 best thing since sliced bread 10-11 here's the milk to go with your bread oh and series 12 is on its way...can't wait
Season 8 Episode 3 is officially the first episode not to watch as they removed Mulder from the show! No fence about the new actor Robert, he seems to be good, and he is really a good actor, I enjoyed some episodes of him, but we can't just switch actors after 7 seasons!
No wonder that most people all over the internet hated season 8 and 9, most of them have stopped watching the series.
Anyways, for me, in order to reach season 10, there is a great list here (https://trakt.tv/users/travisg100/lists/the-essential-x-files-episodes) that has all the must be seen episodes so you can follow up the story. I recommend watching the full first 5 seasons, then the first movie, then selected essential episodes from season 8, 9 then the second movie, and finally season 10 and 11 XD
Season 3 episode 16 is one of the best. This show is really amazing, can't wait to reach season 11 XD
How fabulously wacky and hilarious!
One of the best TV show which I've been seen in my life. My childhood there.
We want more! #WeWantAFullSeason
#WeWantAMovie
Disappointed about the end of season.
A rare thing, to see a reboot after this many years... with the original cast.
Dr. Dana Scully is my dream girl! #season10
I made some lists of episodes to see only the Monsters of the Week episodes, conspiracy storyline episodes, and format bending episodes from Den of Geek! This is next level binge watching.
Rewatching this series before season 10 starts.
It says status ended.. But its not over! We await new episodes!!
DAVID DUCHOVNY WHY WONT YOU LOVE ME
