i was waiting for the show to get back to the main group and i was so sure the things will pick up once negan make another appearance, but that was still not a very exciting episode? and all that happened is that they took guns? and they managed to stretch it into an episode. tbh i'd give up on the show if i wasn't watching it from the beginning. commitment is a bitch.
Little pigs, little pigs, let me in.
I like how they make Negan appear as the Big Bad Wolf here. I can sense Carl potentially doing something crazy later on. He seems the most brave of the group (our group) right now.
Rick is such a lil bitch. Fuck that.
Decent episode. Shows Negan as the boss here, the submission of Rick and people of Alexandria. To the point Rick no longer has this tough guy stance and opts to submit to Negan to survive another day, while still bearing a huge grudge to him. I think @andrewbloom sums it well in this line,
"when Rick confesses that he knows Judith belongs to Shane, there’s power in it because it’s one of those few plot threads from the beginning of the show that haven’t been tied off yet. And the thematic resonance of it, that sometimes we have to accept hard truths, things that tear us up, in order to do what we need to do to protect the people we care about, is solid. Negan’s actions make Rick’s knuckles tighten up on Lucille when Negan’s back is turned, but his desire to keep the Alexandrians safe loosens his grip, allows him to make all these compromises and admission in the hopes that they’ll stay alive and healthy even under such harsh conditions."
Read his review, a very thoughtful one of this episode. https://trakt.tv/comments/103012
I am just going to rate the episodes as poor until Rick gives up the Frodo complex. It is not fun to watch a TV Show about the misery of slaves being bullied. Negan is a cocky prick who is also careless af so why nobody fucking shot him from the watchtower as he was banging on the door. One plus point for Rosita - for at least not giving totally in and for her absolutely stunning looks - so it is a 4.
I have to agree with the reviewer @andrewbloom I mean it's too much Negan the bad guy that we are going to run out of layers of his "evilness". He will be plain and that's it.
Ok, I know Negan is a douchebag but I can't help loving him. Maybe it's because Jeffrey Dean Morgan's great acting.
And I think Rick crossed the line because of his thoughtless behavior at the end of season 6. But now, Negan's been teaching him about where to stop. And he is doing that well.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is giving me the villain I was waiting.
This season is about letting bullies do whatever they want lol. Or your friends heads will get bashed in.
This did not need to be a 90-minute episode. Negan's the actual worst, we get it.
i didn't see anyone talking about daryl so i will. want him back with the gang
It took me a little to get into this series but it had some really good momentum for the last 4 seasons. Now with the introduction on Neagan (however you spell it) it's like they slammed the brakes on. Barely any story progression or character development. I get what they're going for but it's really not doing it for me.
Another great episode. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is such a great addition to the show, Negan is both terrifying and hilarious, you want to hate him but you can't fully because of that charm. I love seeing the group struggle with what happened and seeing them divided a bit more, I feel like it's a reality check for all because they slowly evolved into the group everyone should fear and now they are planted back firmly onto the ground when a bigger, much worse group crosses their path.
Love seeing Negan on my screen, hope they don't over do it though, makes the scenes more special
For the first time in this show authors made really good villain. I like it!
There's not much to say besides praising Jeffrey Dean Morgan's acting and that's it - the episode depends on his performance to be remotely a decent one.

"I just slid my dick down your throat, and you thanked me for it." I'm loving Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan and the quotes from the comic are better than I expected.
