The Walking Dead: Season 11

11x22 Faith

All in all a decent episode. I particularly loved the moment where they pull up Negan (and Annie) to be executed but the group intervened. I love how they hinted back at the iconic deaths of Abraham and Glenn through the way it was set up. But in the end nothing really happened right? No major deaths, no shock... it ended with a fizzle.
So now it's only two more episodes and that's that. I hope they bring the action... pump it up! I will not be satisfied if everyone comes out of this alive.

Imagine the suspense you could've felt if you didn't already know Negan was going to live.

Good thing, that I had no idea about spin-offs. Is there really enough audience for that?!

Anyway, they did managed to build a proper tension. I only wish at least one of the rebellions didn't worked out or at least took some casualties. Negan would have been perfect victim. Could have played the scene exactly the same minus everyone stepping up for them. Would have been more realistic and tragic. Oh, well.

The only thing this show loves more than hero Negan is teasing that maybe he’ll still just go back to the worst version of himself at any moment. Hopefully that was the last one.

Aaaaand we're back!
This show has been a long and exhausting marathon, but we're definitely on the home stretch now. In these closing episodes we're seeing the return of that - building tension to proper pay-off - that has been missing from the show for a while (try a few seasons) because producers prioritised profit over production value.

All things must end... I'm glad they're redeeming themselves with a decent one.

Great (improv'd) line from Michael James Shaw's Mercer to end the episode!

Of course, these last episodes are more superficial and cheaply produced than when the series was at its peak.
But still: I like it and am looking forward to the big bang.
There is not much time left.

This episode could have been better? Of course! But at least wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nevertheless, and considering the show is reaching the end; my personal hype is lower and lower... Let's see if they can (somehow) save just a little bit of TWD original spirit...

I really enjoyed this episode and think it's one of the better one together with episode 18. Especially Eugene and Negan had some really strong scenes.
