The Walking Dead has become a dead show walking.
I have officially decided to stop watching this TV show. It has been dragged on for too long. This first season I was so hyped about, it seemed like such a crazy idea 'What if you wake up like that one day?'. But after 9 seasons it has become very boring. The episodes are predictable and boring. Every episode ends with a cliffhanger and the next episode is exciting for a few minutes and then gets boring really fast. I wish they would've quit when it was still a hype so people would be bummed out it ended, in stead of being bored to death by a story line that has been dragged out for too long.

Season One: 9.0. Incredible emotions, wonderful writing, beautiful set designs. Everything is genuinely perfect. I loved this season to death. Andrew Lincoln is an incredible actor!!!
Walking Dead has really gone down hill for me. Not as good as what it used to be.
Amazing the best ever cool
This show isn't action packed, and though it has some moments of action, it'sually a slow-burner. However it does character development very well, the characters are human and flawed are likable and it raises interesting questions about what is being human, what we live for, etc.
It has some phenomenal seasons(at the prison and s6), great villains, strong women and well rounded characters.
It's not a show for everyone but, if you like character arcs twd is a great choice.
Season 2 and 3 was very slow. Got very repetitive after Season 4.

This is the most overrated show ever. And for what? Like 3 minutes of "intense" action and 40 minutes of the slowest fucking plot alongside useless conversations between really boring, bland, sad and angry characters. This is a bad, bad show. It is fucking awful. The show is supposed to be based on the WALKING DEAD! ZOMBIES! Yet, characters get so used to turning into "badass" zombie assassins that they are able to murder zombies within 2 minutes of the episodes. The show spends a shit ton of time on conversational scenes that are so irrelevant. Not to mention the replacement of zombies for protagonists to attack the "bad side" of human people. Not the dead! So irrelevant.

To be honest, I like this show (a lot) but I have a hard time watching it, like my fingers have no energy to spare to grab the remote & push play. It is the strangest things & makes absolutely no sense. Not to me, anyway.

Absolutely love the show, But MSF still has me in WTH. i was very skeptical about watching, i am not a zombie fan, so many of my friends on facebook told me it's so much more than that. You will fall in love with the characters and that is the main story. So glad i am a huge fan of the show.

When I saw the beginning montage of people I knew what was gonna come. The couple, the mother, the random dude getting hugged by an extra who walked off trying not to look for recognition of the behind-the-scenes team. And then, yet another lousy speech that would only rile up the most fervent cult-member... and boy did they act like cult-members.
And yet I kept watching.
The episode got a bit better when Ezekiel's character was in view but it balanced dreadfully close to the abyss when the stupid cat and mouse game with nerdy evil Carl look-a-like began. Guess 3 meters isn't that far in zombiepaces ? Oh no, wait, it's 12 meters all of a sudden.
And yet I kept watching.
Upside was Zeke's axe-wielding friend affirming that he is indeed a cool dude. Where's the tiger... don't tell me they'll... Oh it's Carol being bad-ass... Great. "I couldn't stop them"... Besides shooting the tires, shooting them at the start, below the truck, hell throw a grenade for all I care... but no... let's let in slow shambling zombies instead. Oh and shooting in the air, lots of shooting cuz WAR. War is lots of shooting right?
Let's not even start about the chase scene.
Where's the suspense, where's the tension, where's CORRAL, Negan, where's a decent action director and intellect? Where 's the place they got all those bullets from all of a suddon. Where's the creativity and writing that isn't done by 10-year old kids. Again, certain scenes with Ezekiel were good to great and in general the build up and break-down of this character was nicely done but then the show managed to do the lasy thing again and... kill off the tiger. Once more they threw a fan-favorite character "to the lions" and killed it off cuz... it's a bleak world and shocker right?! Game of Thrones did it right? Kill your darlings, guys? Guys? Look a useless unimaginative and unnecessary death of a loved character!
As previous commenters stated: I cared more for the death of this CGI animal than I did any of the 50 idiotic people in Rick's gang. The little kid at the end walking towards a broken Zeke was good but that was most likely built on my soft spot for self-sacrificing underdogs, kids and my own disappointments with, to and from children. The rest was just... drek... again.
And yet I roll my eyes and sigh.
I'm almost done with this show, how many more episodes this season? It'll be the third series I stopped watching voluntarily. There are no characters left I still care about (besides Negan, but he's gonna die anyways right, Ezekiel and his buddy, who are both most likely gonna die before the season's end) and for me it can all just end. I'll watch Fear the Walking Dead instead... that show I rolled my eyes at before it started cause it sounded so derivative... The irony.
Lemme tell you how this series is:
The starting episodes and the ending episodes are goddamn epic no doubt about it, but why do you feel it that way?
That's because the rest of the episodes are complete big pile of dried up horseshit that has been dragging along a concrete road, so when you see something satisfying even if it's by a small degree, it feels epic. And that is the successful formula of this show.
It's gonna keep dragging and continue like that because it's nowhere near the ending
And that's what it is.
This show should be renamed the Talking Beds. It is that boring. The characters could learn from time to time. But no instead they will repeatedly make the same stupid mistake again and again, and cry about it. A lot. In fact most of the show is them crying about what they have done so far. And if I were any of them I would do the same, because they haven't done a lot in 8 seasons; Rick is still a shitty leader that should have been killed by his own people for the good of the rest of them.

This show really disappointed me. I used to be a fan of TWD, but the emptyness of the episode and the numerous cliffhanger changed my opinion on it. I stopped at the start of season 6 and feel like nothing has happened to make the show go on, the story stays the same but in a different location. When will it end ..?

Was going into this expecting another cheaply made survival horror thingamabob. Binged first season, was surprised by the story not being all gore "OH NO! HE DIED!" gore "OH NO! HE RETURNED AS A ZOMBIE!!!" splatter gore "OH NO! HE'S EATING MY....."
I think it a decent piece, was surprised to be told that it's a comic adaption afterwards, probably going to acquire those later on
I had a feeling that this show would be something great from season one. I love the introduction of Negan. I love to hate that guy. He definitely brings new excitement to the series, but it has me questioning what is season 8 going to be about? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Its not only about zombies its about how different people adjust and react with a bunch of strangers in life or death situations, each season the group is getting bigger and stronger and forming a community, if u read the comics y'll see that the idea for the end is amazing! And with negan in the show now, i can't hardly wait one week for the next episodes

The Air Date and Time for upcoming episodes are incorrect. It should show the first broadcast, not the encore showing at 2am the next morning.
After the 3rd or 4th season it gets really hard to watch. I will use the word 'boring' because I cannot stay focus in any episode by any means, after those first four seasons. I only force myself to watch it because I've already seen the 7 seasons, but it is really painful.

People get zombified, communities form amongst those that don't -- many get killed or turned into zombies and new uninfected characters arrive to replace them. Repeat this plot outline over and over again and you've got the basic idea of the series. First season was OK, but the repetitive nature of "The Walking Dead" had me bored shortly into season 2.
Thrilling, appalling, interminable. Squeamish need not apply.
Overall: engaging but unrewarding.
Was the greatest show on TV for the first 4 years, then went wildly off track. Killing Glen twice was a dick move.

OMG... Season 7 premiere was hard core! The most intense TV I've seen to date, and be aware there is a lot of gore in this episode, even for TWD. I know why they put ads in episodes now, for the views to catch their breath! Enjoy all!

Just bumped my original "10" rating down to a 7, seems like they have lost the essence that made this show great. still gonna ride this till the end and enjoy the excellent action along the way.

Problem with this show is too many episodes they cant keep the peace aftter one or two good episodes there is few bad.There will be a lot of action in Negan story.If they dont split this story for 2 seasons, 7 season should be amazing.

Just had my 4th spinal fusion at age 40 & thank god for the walking dead Bc watching a few hours each day of all 6 seasons made me not just think about how much pain I was in. Def addicted now to both the show & Norm Reedus!!
Like Negan states, "everyone is waiting on me to get my order." He's not wrong either. An episode can be distasteful, might be meh, or in some really good cases it can be one of the most dramatic stressful things you have ever endured on a couch. You don't know what you're going to get.
It was good, until it went bad. Season 5 was already mediocre and heard season 6 is just downhill.

One Of Few TV Shows That You wish they make more seasons and you'll never get bored
This show is TOTALLY unlike any of the shows I normally watch (i.e. murder mystery/crime shows). I was really really bored and decided to give it a try. Ended up wholly hooked and anticipating the new season with bated breath. There's just nothing to dislike about the show. Solid cast, great plot, thought-provoking questions about ethics, an insight to human psychology under duress, exciting action scenes, some gratuitous blood spilling... One of my favourite shows of all-time now.

Great show and I love it, rumours say it can last for ages! Season 12 and beyond! In a way I hope it does, I have enjoyed all 5 Seasons. Well season 3 got a bit boring with the same old same old. I have never read the comics so I don't know how close it is following but I hope that they don't just keep repeating the same thing over and over.

I'm not the biggest fan of zombies. But after watching 5 seasons certainly I'm a fan of this tv show. Why? I think it's the atmosphere and the development of the characters. In my opinion the actors do a great job. I don't know the comics, so I'm curious how it goes on.

Its getting very unbareable. The first ep of the season was one of the best TV shows ever...since then, it has been really hard to keep watching. The action is getting incredibly sparce. Michone, the best character in the entire show is being forgotten. I think she had three lines and only one scene the last ep and I dont remember much from her at all in any of the others. I dont even know who some of the people are that are getting alll the screen time, thats how boring this thing is getting. The red haired dude...the fat smart guy... those two girls with them, I have no idea what there names are, and dont care, lets hurry up and kill them off so we can get some more of Michone!!!! More Action, less blank staring and pausing for lines. This is getting so horrible, Ive started watching Z Nation!!!!
I'm watching the first season again and it's funny, in the first episode is a Zombie-Child who is grabbing her Teddy. So at that moment in the show the Zombies are not complete stupid.
The first season is still the best of all.
There are many boring films about zombie, but TWD is a thrill.
I lost this tv show at the middle of season 4 last year, but with the comments that i see in here and what my friends say the season 5 is the true deal, i think i'm back on track ;)
