This show is TOTALLY unlike any of the shows I normally watch (i.e. murder mystery/crime shows). I was really really bored and decided to give it a try. Ended up wholly hooked and anticipating the new season with bated breath. There's just nothing to dislike about the show. Solid cast, great plot, thought-provoking questions about ethics, an insight to human psychology under duress, exciting action scenes, some gratuitous blood spilling... One of my favourite shows of all-time now.

If you're into zombies theme in TV Series, then you won't find anything better than The Walking Dead. Well-written scenario, amazing acting, great characters - what else do you need?

Great show and I love it, rumours say it can last for ages! Season 12 and beyond! In a way I hope it does, I have enjoyed all 5 Seasons. Well season 3 got a bit boring with the same old same old. I have never read the comics so I don't know how close it is following but I hope that they don't just keep repeating the same thing over and over.

This second mid season it's started bad actually, but we will see.
Its getting very unbareable. The first ep of the season was one of the best TV shows ever...since then, it has been really hard to keep watching. The action is getting incredibly sparce. Michone, the best character in the entire show is being forgotten. I think she had three lines and only one scene the last ep and I dont remember much from her at all in any of the others. I dont even know who some of the people are that are getting alll the screen time, thats how boring this thing is getting. The red haired dude...the fat smart guy... those two girls with them, I have no idea what there names are, and dont care, lets hurry up and kill them off so we can get some more of Michone!!!! More Action, less blank staring and pausing for lines. This is getting so horrible, Ive started watching Z Nation!!!!
I'm watching the first season again and it's funny, in the first episode is a Zombie-Child who is grabbing her Teddy. So at that moment in the show the Zombies are not complete stupid.
The first season is still the best of all.
There are many boring films about zombie, but TWD is a thrill.
I lost this tv show at the middle of season 4 last year, but with the comments that i see in here and what my friends say the season 5 is the true deal, i think i'm back on track ;)

Mediocre acting, poor writing, and bad story lines, if 95% of the characters got killed off it would be for the better. The first season and a half were decent, after that they started to sit too long and the writers + actors just aren't good enough to carry it.

But the comics and the game, are much better! :)
I think 3 stars is enough for me right now, i did really enjoy the show season 1 and 2 and half way through season 3 but after that i just kinda got bored and after they killed the governor i just got even more bored as i loved to hate that man, but i will continue to watch as i have watched the past seasons, maybe season 5 will have me excited for it to be on.

1) I can't believe there are only two other people on here that have commented other than myself that have read the comics. 2) The comic is amazing and will always be better than the show, but that happens with many things. The comic is just too much for them to put on tv. 3) As much as I would love it to be exactly like the comic it wont ever be, but that's what makes the show great in it's own way. For those who have read the comic it's pretty much a guideline for the next location they'll have in the show. 4) Yes, there are many things that make me upset with the show like who shouldn't have died or was alive too long or love stories that never happen or as simple as characters that should have been in it or not in it. I guess the good thing is it keeps me guessing. My final decision on this show is that I'm addicted to it and love it as I do the comic. I am very glad that Robert Kirkman is involved with it and love the visionary Greg Nicotero is (Sorry, if names are spelled wrong.) And I truly believe the actors they chose are very form fitting to the characters. Must give them awesome props also for being the first and only zombie show. It doesn't have ten million other mythical creatures in it, just ZOMBIES!! I guess if anyone has anything they'd like to discuss let me know.

Great Zombie action, end-of-the-world-feeling and good characters with a lots of intelligent, clever and very tough plots. The storyline is great and the performances of the actors are really good. There are some characters which I like much and other characters which I absolutely don't like, which makes it interesting, because so many guys will die through the seasons :). Normaly it gets the "right" ones :).
Season 01 and 02 are really awesome, Season 03 was like a biiiiiiiig and old chewing gum. Really predictable and way tooooo long. Hope it gets better with the fourth season...

Took me a while to fall in love with this one, but now I'm always waiting for the next episode to come out.
I love this show. I never really liked zombie movies but somehow they have made this show in a way that I can't wait for the next episode/season.
Intense, insane, real..no holds bar survival action, this series has no rules and any character can be killed off at any time...nobodies safe..LOVE IT

So as I'm nearing the tail end of Season 3, it dawned on me, walking dead has the usual pattern of the b grade show - mid season bloat. Totally ramps up in last ~3/4 shows to exhilarating heights making u all but forgive the mid season transgression.
Another shout after last nights episode ... Wow this show is becoming dull! They REALLY need to pick-up the pace before viewers switch off!!!!
