I've managed to suspend my disbelief. I can now accept that a single mother would invite a guy her son found wandering around the woods into her house to make him dinner. Now that I am able to do that, I can accept the (most likely intentionally) stiff perfomance of Steve Kanaly. I was not expecting the story to end the way that it did. I would have preferred the ending not have the "twist" that it did.
