A man finds he is unable to communicate with others. It's fun when Robert Klein starts misunderstanding conversations, but then we feel frustration and desperation along with the character as the problem grows. This segment has a nice ending, but certainly not a sugary sweet one, as we realize the difficulty of what's ahead for Klein's character.

On occasion a relative can begin to talk ‘nonsense’ if they don’t have enough liquids. That’s a 2 to 5 minute thing, easily solved.
This being seemingly more permanent would be a nightmare.
