I really like this episode.

I was wondering when they would parallel Milhouse's crush by having Bart debelop one, and they did it quite well.

Laura is great, and although her mom isn't in msny scenes she could be a good addition if they bring back the chatavters every so often.

They even tossed in an accurate rendition of what rejection feels like!

I also like how by the end, Bart kind of realizes that she's ultimately too old for him - which is better than Dipper did for awhile.

I do hope they bring back Laura as a background character every so often, and she compliments Bart's kind of reckless attitude quite well.

"New Kid on the Block" is another decent episode that sees Bart develop a crush on his new neighbour's daughter, a slightly older girl. While there is some good humour in this one, as is expected, I felt the plot left something to be desired. In particular, they don't do anything interesting with Ruth Powers, the new neighbour. Also, while I enjoyed Homer's side plot, especially for Lionel Hutz's appearance, it felt like filler and didn't add anything to the episode apart from some good gags. I did enjoy seeing Moe about to cut up Jimbo, but it's also a plot hole as Moe has been to the Simpsons' house before, therefore knowing it wasn't Jimbo who was making the prank calls.

Overall, it's fair.
