“Old Money” is a decent episode that sees Abe Simpson receive the spotlight. There are some genuinely funny moments in this one, and I particularly enjoyed seeing various Springfield residents plead their cases for Abe’s money. I feel this is another episode that suffers partially from pacing issues, however. The scenes between Abe and Beatrice feel slightly rushed, and they never develop much of a relationship in the short amount of screentime she gets.
Overall, a sweet and almost solid episode that needed better pacing.
