The reappearance of Julian was so clumsily handled and dramatically unsatisfying you have to wonder if something happened with Jenna Dewan's availability that kept the writers from using the character in the way they'd originally intended in the Quovadis storyline. Even if outside circumstances did force their hand, I still feel like the show could've done better in addressing what happened to Julian; glossing over the trauma of someone harassing and trying to murder her just made the emotional impact of her story even more underwhelming.
