Better than the premiere, but the show is clearly much worse than before.
Serena should not be underestimated. The minute she suggested Fred's funeral to be an International event I knew that she had an ulterior motive and man oh man what a move! The best way to hurt June is go get a hold of her daughter. She is playing with fire, definitely but both ladies have been for a long time.
Esther did good. I love Janine but ever since she was caught in Chicago she's been Lydia's pet (more than usual). Janine's kind nature and naiveté have been a breath of fresh air amidst everyone else but this time she went too far. The way she groomed Esther was unsettling. Understandable considering her limited options but Esther has proved herself someone not to be messed with so I half expected her to act out. Taking Janine with her is brutal but I understand why she did it. Lydia's reaction seemed of genuine panic. The relationship Lydia has with Janine always had my interest. It showed Lydia's capability to care even in a sick, twisted way... she cared for Janine. I wonder if she is really dead this time round.

Well, that was definitely upping the ante. And it's contrasting nicely: black vs white, young/recovered love vs showing off the widow, June's trying to let go of her rage vs Serena's only just starting... manipulation all around, and caught in the middle is Hannah. How June could even be surprised by that move is beyond me.
But why was the funeral even on the big screens in Canada? I mean it's one thing for Serena and Lawrence to set it up - it's another for the Canadian broadcast stations to pick it up and screen it throughout Toronto.
I'd be seriously pissed off, though, if Janine died without getting the upper hand on Lydia. So I hope she survives.
