I did like how they handled presenting a mid-season recap by handing it to Jason that way we know how important that really cool cloud is.

"Maximum Derek!"

Kind of too much of a mad rush into a new status quo (really wonder now even more than past episodes how they will go from here) to be great, but I'm glad to be back in this show's world. So many delightful quips and jokes, but the reveal of "Something, something, Vicky, something, something" might be my favorite.

[7.5/10] A nice start to the new half-season. I really liked the mystery of the episode -- whether Michael has really reverted via heel turn to his wicked ways or whether Eleanor is right to have faith in him -- and how it works as both a big question for the audience and a character moment for Eleanor. The little clues were fun to try to piece together at the same time Eleanor was, and the reveal that Michael really was trying to help them was cathartic. Plus, the humor was good too, with drunk Janet and bad Janet being a consistent source of laughs, and Derek talking like a pokemon being continually hilarious. Good stuff to kick off the back half of Season 2!

Bad Janet AND Derek in the same episode? What a treat! That alone was guaranteed fun! I'm glad that the mid-season break didn't do the show any harm, the gang is all back at full force. A barrel of laughs, this episode. And the one before it. And, most likely, the next one, too. That's just how this great show rolls.
Let's see how will they handle the empty fake Good Place, now. Did anyone else notice Michael's hint of sadness on his face when everyone was cheering about finally going to the real Good Place? That made me feel that they won't be getting there anytime soon...

There was just the right amount of Derek in this episode.

«Shoot, where’s my void, again? I forget. Oh, yeah, it’s everywhere».

«Cavolo, dov’è il vuoto? L’ho scordato. Ah sì, è ovunque»

Just curious... Why does the gang think all the bad place people/demons can't come back from where they've gone on the train? Wasn't the train just going where the cocain lady is... the same place the gang has been and come back from multiple times? This confused me... Maybe I missed something...
