I was literally hanging off the edge of my couch and straining to listen to whatever is the secret that they have been holding back. Can't believe they still haven't dropped it.
Finally back to The kind of blacklist we all know and love!!! Hallelujah!
Actually wasn't that bad of an episode, but it still has more than its fair share of nonsense. Everyone's just ok with working with Liz again, including Reddington now, even though she absolutely does not deserve it. Except Park, but she got a flashbang in the face for that. We get teased with yet another super terrible and world-changing secret that we don't get to actually learn. I would honestly believe that the writers don't even know what the secret is at this point - they just want the drama. Who cares about providing answers when you can endlessly string along your audience instead? That's what this show has done since the beginning.
What incredible stupidity it is that a crime lord would direct someone to "put a bullet in him" and the henchman would interpret that as a non-fatal shot to the abdomen. Instead of, you know, in the head.

It's barely into the 23rd right now (2:19am) May 2021 and I had just looked and seen that "The Blacklist" was just renewed for a ninth season a day ago on May 21 2021 according to Wikipedia.
I have to say I loved the show from the beginning, but is hard to ignore the fact the FBI goes around Elizabeth's wishes justifying almost anything. I thought this was something only Ressler was going to do. I think it's being a good run but the next should be the final season and do it right.
Maybe I'm not paying enough attention but was this hard to follow for anyone else?
I hope the list got some more criminals for the show to keep running for at least 2 more seasons.
Where did a jewel thief get not only the bravery, but the gun training and military excursion tactics to do a hostage rescue?
Why did Liz just suddenly start listening to Priya when she mentioned Reddington? She's still supposed to hate his guts, but now she's just turning around for no reason and trusting what Priya's relaying on Reddington's behalf?
An electric shock collar designed to keep someone awake goes through salt water on the floor, somehow penetrates military grade rubber boots, and shocks someone unconscious?
Park taking a flashbang to the face but still being perfectly fine aiming afterwards?
The number of people not being shot on sight but just being pointed at is ridiculous
God damn that teaser with Ivan whispering the secret we all want to know but STILL don't
Yup, Priya's still hot, and apparently rich now too
LOL the FBI shows up by surprise and manages to capture... literally nobody
That pure Reddington-style magician's escape from right under the FBI's noses is just like old times
I damn near screamed at my screen hoping Ivan would speak up. The web is slowly closing in on... well on who? The way Aram put it is kind of right, right? Red has been getting lots of criminals of the streets. Mostly for his own gain but still. And every time we get an answer there are ten more questions that follow.

Finally an episode worth watching. This season has been an embarrassment till now, along with a couple more lame seasons, but not this episode. I saw some hope for this show again. But I still think the show has run it's course, and I really believe they should end it now.
