Goddamn it, last episode I wrote that I don't like the idea of Carm ruining his relationship with Clair, so he can end up with Sydney, but now it's looking like it's going in that direction

p.s. that was the most unappetizing omelette I've seen in my entire life

That sports analogy went right over my head. Explain it in soccer terms.

oh God I am not ready for the shit that is about to hit the fan in episode 10 (Jamie Lee Curtis 'bout to f some s up big time)

(that omelette making scene was immaculate though)

Things are looking up for The Bear.

I want an omelette too. Also that fixing the table scene

I love them so much.
That table scene was the calm inside the storm, one of those The Bear moments: where people open up and it feels as human and coherent with the series, as the frantic moments. Plus, the initial intimate scene with blue shadings, Syd's "pep talk" with her dad, the omelette . Every episode has an absurd amount of single scenes which steal the show on their own, which define some character better, deepen friendships and relationships, all by pulling all the strings together and not losing any behind. What a show!

That omelette looked good!!
My only issue with the story -and it’s not really an issue cause this is not real life- is that The Beef is like a deli or sandwich shop in like I’m gonna say a middle class family neighborhood, like you got some local mafia guys hanging out there, but like very family style and traditional situation so how does The Bear fits in that street or for that public? Or maybe they are in downtown Chicago? Idk, but I feel it’s gonna be a very expensive and like “bougie” place, like weren’t they hosting arcade game competitions there?? So I feel like The Bear could possibly fail because they didn’t do a proper market research

What the fuck are they actually doing under the table?

It's going a bit Ted Lasso with the nonstop affirmations and constant feelgoodery, and not necessarily in a good way, but the very real sense that these are people strung out right at the limit of nervous and physical exhaustion rather than multimillionaire footballers just about rescues it from that awful fate.

Incidentally, what was that shot in the opening sequence it kept showing? I rewound, paused, stared at it, but still couldn't work out what I was looking at. We cut back to it several times in the space of about 20 seconds but I have no idea what it was meant to be. Anyone have any idea?
