Nathan Shelley's redemption has begun, and you know what, I'm here for it. If there's one show out there that could pull off redeeming even the most hated characters it would be this show. I felt so proud of Nate this episode, which I know sounds weird because he's a fictional character, but that's just the strength of the show. Everyone feels real with relatable issues and flaws, and Nate is one of the most fully understood and developed characters. Watching him start to turn himself around felt so victorious. This episode also saw lots of other characters show their growth. Keeley, Roy, Rebecca, Sam, Jamie, it's amazing how so many characters can have emotional moments as we watch them grow into better versions of themselves and become more comfortable and confident in who they are. And then we move on to Ted. I think the moment at the end of bringing Rebecca the biscuits as he does every day, could be a metaphor for him relatively staying the same old Ted while everyone else has changed. He's always been a force for positivity and support, and now he has infected everyone else with that mindset. It's almost as if there is nothing left for him to do at Richmond and now he is needed elsewhere (back home with his family), leading to what I bet will be a bittersweet finale to the show or at least the season. Also some great comedy this episode, per usual. Another Ted Lasso banger.
This season is truly horrible. A whole football squad and they focus on the Wonder Kid and Keeley. F$%* off as Roy would say. A lot of people trying hard to love this show still from what I see in the comments too. They truly have no good writers here. It's embarrassing to watch this show but it's like a train wreck now, I have to see how it ends.
oh just fuck off now, this was a show about football, why am i almost in tears about a fake player making his England debut wearing the number 24! truly an incredible episode, the last 3 episodes have all been out of the park brilliant and this show coming to an end in 2 episodes time is an absolute travesty
"I hate to break it to you Rebecca, but those children are dead"
And if any of the other people start disappearing one by one ... you get the hell out of there. Do you hear me?
Higgins knows what's up.
Great callbacks with Young Rebecca in ponytails, and then Nate - I had almost forgotten he didn't apologize to Will after Beard called him out. But also, good on the show for not going all the way of making Rupert into a cartoon villain. For a moment there they let us see a spark of a real person, and that was good, even if it's too farfetched even for this show for those guys to simply give up without a lot more pressure. That was a Sorkinism if I ever saw one.
I wonder if that Dani thing was a one-off. It's certainly caught everyone off-guard, but was that a resolution? No one else seemed to mind..
Best episode ever? It's certainly near the top!
That monologue from Rebecca on Football is everything we need right now. That speech was everything why we love this game. Football is life. Hala Madrid
Nice trolling of the Russians ;)
Roy walking in to Red Right Hand playing in his birthday present was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. The reactions of everyone just made it even funnier as it’s so out of character for him :joy::joy::joy:
"Hi Barbara, that's a nice outfit"
"Oh thank you, yes, I like clothes that tell the truth"
Might be the hardest I've laughed during a Ted Lasso episode.
Awesome ep, feels back to the high calibre of the first season. Hope we see the rest of the season out at this quality.
One of the most emotional and funny episode of the series. This could be a season finale and I wouldn’t be upset (waiting for the following season).
Just pieces of the puzzle matching to display a beautiful painting.
So much love for this show.
Why Apple destroy the best show with a season every day worst?
The show is getting completely unbearable. Half the scenes have a soft piano playing in the background when one would expect to find a good moral lesson instead the show shoves degeneracy in people's faces.
To complete the socially woke read and creatively broke theme they had russia-phobic scene. Complete with an African man showing a Russian how adore works. I'm glad I gave up halfway through the episode because the ending sounds great ridiculous.
Skipped all the Nate, didn't care for that table meeting, Rupert only now being genuinely nice??? (Or was that some sort of plot because he wants something?) ... This season is just so full of ups and downs, it's not quite consistent and the hour long episodes probably aren't needed. That being said, some enjoyable scenes came from this episode, and I can always appreciate Rebecca being the girlboss she is!
"You are and always will be Keeley fucking Jones. And if I ever did anything-anything at all-that made you feel like that wasn't true... I'm so sorry. I love you. Sincerely yours, Roy Kent. XOXO" Honestly best moment of the episode.
Watching this masterpiece of an episode during an actual international break (9th October, 2023) feels doubly relevant. Even if Scott McTominay and Utd didn't pull off the "Fergie Time for Lady Cathy" miracle, this show which now definitely is one of the best antidotes for mental health struggles, would've been here for me, which again is triggering, cause, you know two more away from the end, still, God bless all associated!
Felt a bit like a filler episode, but the magic of Ted Lasso is that even those episodes feel good.
We want Rebecca chief of FIFA! and of course juvem35da
Best episode of the season!
Loved this version of Dani xD (Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde)
Phoebe is the cutest! And we've got Roy and Keeley back <3
Solid episode. They could have shown how Nate was fired. Or did he actually quit?
Great episode. I finally started to feel things again and have few tears after the last 6-7 episodes where I didn't feel much.
Jamie wearing the 24 got me right in the feels.
It's a shame the Keeley x Jack thing was steamrolled so lazily. It's as bad as sweeps week queerness in American tv shows.
Here for the Rebecca and Keeley friendship til the end of time and hell yeah for Rebecca realising she's free of Rupert!
Okay this one at least was good, yah they play in emotion's and makes u happy but still better than last few shitty episodes

How dare they make us care for Nate and how dare they be so good at it?
