That balcony scene between Shiv and Tom was devastating.

I'll be repetitive but I'll say it again, there is no series in history with dialogue as well written and logically staged as Succession.

This whole episode and particularly the balcony scene were a masterclass in directing, acting, writing and editing. Every action and every word spoken convey so much meaning, and yet they feel so organic. I feel thankful to be able to witness such brilliance.

That Shiv and Tom balcony scene, just another example of some of the best written dialogue paired with some of the best line delivery you'll ever see in a show. Succession is just on point with every episode.

"Running people over is not a selling point." Never been so disappointed in you, Willa.

It's speaking to how spiraling the rest of Roys (+Tom) are in this ep that somehow Connor/Willa come off relatively most adjusted. Which will probably change next ep, anyway.

Amazing episode. Shiv is becoming unbearable.

Pivotal episode on a few levels. Loved every second of it. I laughed so hard with Greg in the Zoom call. So good!

This episode was absolutely excellent. The dialogue was exquisite, especially in one scene in particular. Everyone, even the side actors are acting their hearts out here, and we're getting to seem Greg and even Tom come into their own in this episode.

This episode was sorta underwhelming since the trailer made it seem like everything was going to go down. Now it seems like next episode will be that disaster. Why do I say this? Because for most of the episode we see some musings between characters, Kendall trying to make plays, Roman with no censor, and Shiv trying to guide Matsson. So yeah, kinda boring, just small developments to each storyline that will come in a later episode. Obviously the main event of this episode is the Tom and Shiv dynamic, the weird intimacy at the beginning, the party being hosted together, Shiv embarrassing Tom's position at ATN, and finally the huge argument that really cuts into both characters. Again, there is no good character in this show. Even Tom is an awful guy but this episode has me feeling for him as he gets the full cancer of the Roy family and none of the glory that was promised...and worse he actually loves Shiv too, so he doesn't get that either.
