[5.2/10] A bit of a dud. This feels like paint-by-numbers South Park. There’s some crazy, Cartman-related antics (even if it’s from Heidi-as-Cartman), some wacky side character hijinks, and some outlandish story element that ties into a current event. They’ve been doing the formula for twenty years now, so it just doesn’t have much impact.
There’s the slightest bit of juice in the “Heidi is Cartman but can follow through” bit, but there’s never a second layer to the joke. I’ve never been a huge fan of Nathan and Mimsy’s schtick, so their antics didn’t do much for me. And the whole water bear/NFL thing felt like a topical comedy layer on a generic storyline.
Overall, another weak entry in what’s been a rather uneven season.
