I really wish the Doof plot here went somewhere interesting - it's not that it's bad, not at all, in fact it's a really great idea and one that sheds a light on how stories can be changed for specific individuals while also shedding a light on Doof's own psychological trauma. But instead, it mostly just results in a punchline that's admittedly funny but played out by this point.

Thankfully the rest of the episode, the stuff with Candace and the boys, is really great stuff and serves to show the strong character work in this season. Plus the punchline here is much funnier as well.
