This season so far has been really great with character, and I think this episode is a fantastic example of that. It's almost entirely character driven with very little in the way of a big invention or even evil scheme on the part of Doof. Instead, it's all gags, character based humor, and great development, which is a showcase of how strong the show's writing up really is.

It's also one of those premises that is ripe for humor. Candace is a naturally impulsive character as we've seen before, and this is exactly the kind of situation she would accidentally allow herself to become involved with - and the fact that it's a cycle here is a nice touch, showing just how much of a cycle this entire thing really is.
