Season 3 of Phineas and Ferb was an experimental season for the show. It was their first attempt to really start to go outside of the box with ideas, completely beginning to ditch the formula more often and instead tell stories that are far more based in character and story development. Some of the best episodes of the show are found here, especially the first half of the season which is run of specatcular episode after spectacular episode.
And while it certainly took more risks, it also was the season that feels the most rewarding in terms of long time viewership. The main gang's interactions have never been better, the funny is bolder and faster, and the stories it tells are more ambitious and out there. It's simply a great season from top to bottom and sets the stage for a fourth (and currently final) season to be even better.
