Well that was freaking boring. 90% of this series is exposition and the budget clearly wasn't there to portray an interesting fantasy world (or any great great action scenes for that matter)

Man, rest in peace Lance, a great choice to play Zeus, he will be missed

Percy fights Hades, meets Zeus and discovers the identity of the real lightning thief. Bit of a different approach from the book for the big finale and the plot twist but I think it worked in favor of this television adaptation. Loved the visuals of Mount Olympus looking grand as ever but I was expecting a bigger reveal of Zeus' character. A nice touching moment between Poseidon and Percy though. Overall a solid and faithful first season for the series. Hopefully Disney sees this project through to the end adapting all five books in the series. Still patiently waiting on the series renewal.

Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting more! Obviously season 2 coming, so more adventurous next season?
I also would like longer episodes, every scene seems a little rushed. Overall, enjoyed the show. :thumbsup_tone1:

What an anticlimax

Such a boring and slow finale
No battle, no drama

I was hoping something more exciting would happen in the finale. The entire series was this journey to the underworld for a quick bit of chatter with Hades then off we pop?

This was alright, but it didn't feel very finale-like. There were big moments, but the tone and pacing.. it just didnt feel like there was a climax. It was fun and things seemed to end happily mostly, but it just felt like there wasn't much in the way of stakes

lance reddick was a great zeus but my heart also hurts every time i see a posthumous role of his :sob:

The late Lance Reddick was miscast as Zeus yet being a good actor he was still chilling as him. He’s no Zeus with long hair and a beard. Looks like he just walked off the set of John Wick 4 lol.
Still, I will miss him. I just forget how much more of Zeus the books had. Since now I can’t actually picture anyone else.

Actually had to force myself to watch this which is HIGHLY disappointing as I'm a huge fan of the movies and books. Once again I found it highly disappointing and mediocre at best. Very much doubt I'll stick around for season 2.

To be honest, for me was really meh. I heard and read a lot of good opinions on it, but for me it was a bit childish and boring. Don't really know if this version or the film one is more book accurate, but I still preffer film version one. Also, they got a LOT cheap with some CGI (like not showing the pen becoming the sword, the green-screen landscapes, or ZEUS the big bad/good god and just appearing as a suit guy). Also, although I like Lance Reddick, he didn't fit at all as Zeus; neither the portrayal as a men in black that they choose to use. Barely a battle with Ares and everything was done. For me it didn't pay off at almost neither front. I doubt I will be watching S2 unless I really don't have anything else to watch

Zeus, a Greek God cast as an African male. The woke asshats at Netflix strikes again.

Well, I'm glad it's over. Hopefully there's no season 2.

it's even worse than the netflix shows. disney doesn't know how to make a series.

Loved it. Well done by all involved. One of the better Disney+ series, which is crazy considering the IPs they have.

Rest in Peace Lance Riddick. Perfectly cast.
