You can really tell so much about a boy by how they treat their mother, and Percy is definitely looking mighty good with how he keeps putting mad respect on his mom’s name:weary::heart:
still havent read the books but tbh jason mantzoukas as a cranky sober dionysus is inspired either way
Percy's arrival at Camp Half-Blood (which looks stunning by the way) starts off challenging as he finds his place amongst the other demigods. Luke, Annabeth and Grover's introductions are well brought to life on screen. Everything is coming together well just like I remembered from the book and I can't be any happier. I knew it was coming but it still gave me goosebumps to hear, "Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon." (Love at the end of the episode after the credits they tease a bit of the next episode. I don't want to wait a week though for more!)
Percy Jackson does the floss in this episode
Centaurs look really weird man
A nice show for the fans of the books. They need to do The 39 Clues next.
After two episodes, there are a few things I do not get about this new show. First, why do you bother making it, if you do exactly the same script like in the movie before? Second, why are the actors so young? I guess it's about making a new franchise for a target group which is basically this young. But this does not work for me on so many levels. I think the characters should at least be 16 years old. So that fight scenes actually look like fight scenes. And that you do not need a legal guardian for a quest to support them. And third, I am not sure that I actually buy the whole lightning story. Why is it, that the highest gods cannot comprehend who actually stole the lightning bolt? An alcoholic, a horse, a goat and a child got behind this in two minutes. So much about all seeing and all knowing gods.
I screamed and clapped a little when the trident appeared above him and Chiron said "Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon" :blue_heart::blue_heart::blue_heart:
Ohhh I'm sad there's no Oracle in this version though!
Again blackfacing Annabeth.
You know how fun it is to recognize a character in advance cause you read the books? Like Dionysos and others...
But then there's Annabeth: tall, blonde,....
She's a fucking small brunette here just to cast a Black person in it...
When will people finally learn that replacing anu character with another etnicity for the sakebof having this etnicity is also so fucking terribly racist!
This shit is so racist.
disney no longer knows how to make shows and films that convey any type of emotion, how sad is that
This was fun. I liked seeing more of clarisse. There is a strong difference to how this played out in the movies but i really like it so far. I dont think theres been a weak link yet which is fun
My dad is a god and all I got was this ugly t-shirt.
The water fight scene in the movie was much more better than the scene in the show. Yeah, the scene in the movie is not accurate but it is pretty cool and awesome. Meh.. I just really don't like the show so far.
My opinion may change in the next season or in as more episodes release.
Having never read the books or seen the movies, I'm really enjoying this show. It's not perfect, but it's one of the better things Disney+ has done. My issue relates to some of the dialogue to set up something, e.g. the quest portion at the end of the episode - it feels at times that it isn't clear why things are happening.

This was pretty terrible lol. Kids would enjoy it but those who were kids when the books came out are adults now.
