I loved it!
The scenes with Ian and Roger were BEAUTIFUL! Although I didn't like the way the writers decided to portray Roger's hanging (with a silent black&white movie) - not really showing what could have been a great scene, the way the actor (Richard Rankin) did every time he (Roger) remembered what happened to him was spectacular. I really felt his pain and agony watching him.
Bree was another character I was impressed with in this episode. The scene when she asked if Roger would still fight for their family was heartbreaking. Sophie Skelton nailed it.
But the main question is: what really happened to Ian? We know only a bit. I hope they show that next week.

The silent movie shtick was stupid and seemed very anarchronistic even for this show.
Roger is the weak, pathetic man he always is which made this show even more annoying. Be glad you're alive fucktwat and that you can go back to your family and your pretty wife. But no... Wallow some more ya selfish prick even though you've been through plenty of which you clearly (for plot?) haven't learned anything

Trying to make him the rennaissance man in the beginning of the episode didnt' bode well and fell flat on it's face for me.

Also noone, in their infinite wisdom, seemed to understand that something happened to Ian, noone even asked even though it's quite obvious. This plot-threading made this episode even more annoying and needlessly so.

Fucking Roger

Watching one man mope around miserable for an entire hour doesn’t make for riveting television. Make it two men and it’s just plain unbearable.

I adore this show, but this was one of my least favorite episodes.

I’m so fed up with this season. It honestly feels like it’s going nowhere. I really don’t give a damn about Roger, and it pains me that he didn’t die. This might just easily be the worst season yet.

This episode is not for the faint of heart - it’s Moore at his darkest. If you’ve been through bouts of PTSD, you’ll understand, but it might also trigger you. Take breaks.

Wow, not many people like Roger. Kind of glad I never read the books.

Bit of a depresssing episode. Two lots of PTSD. Crickey. Still good to see Ian though.

I really didn't care for the silent picture scene. Kind of a shame that watching the behind the scenes segment, the producers were really proud of it. I haven't read the books so it was a pleasant surprise to see young Ian again.

The black and white silent picture part reminded me of that episode from Legion. LOL. Though it was more fitting there than here.
