I'm REALLY hoping the time travel thing is a red herring. Not that I don't love sci-fi (I do) it's that I'd rather this be a straight forward realistic world that it has been set up to be.

Best directing / editing I've seen this year, and among the best of all of Mr. Robot - I definitely liked this episode better than any of season 2. If this isn't art, then what the fuck is art?

Anyone who follows Sam Esmail in social media knows how vocal he is when it comes to Trump. Further than that, this is an interesting read in which he comments on it - http://ew.com/tv/2017/10/11/mr-robot-trump-time-travel-season-3/

I don't know why but this new season doesn't feel like mr. robot. It was very boring to watch.

I looooove the punch card milk shake scene. "Can you define a visit ? Do I have to exit the queue and start again ? Exit the store ? Go home ? Is it time based ?" I could totally do that. This new character is great with his whole calm no nonsense everything-is-under-control attitude.

Revert back everything ? That's seem a little too much. But they're seem to be inside a particle accelerator, so what ? Create a whole new universe ?

Also this world went the Trump way too ? Seems kinda strange but on the other end, no show predicted we'd could enter so fast in a world as dystopian as the one Trup is creating, so... fiction need to work to catch up to reality.

As much as I like Christian Slater playing Mr. Robot I'd love to see at least a few scenes with Rami Malek playing both characters in the next episodes, not just flashes that show us it's still Elliot. Anyways, off to a great start with this season premiere #thumbsup!

What if instead of fighting back, we cave? Give away our privacy for security. Exchange dignity for safety. Trade in revolution for repression. What if we choose weakness over strength? They'll even have us build our own prison. This is what they wanted all along, for us to buy in on our worst selves. And I just made it easier for them. I didn't start a revolution. I just made us docile enough for their slaughtering.

Sam Esmail just couldn't help himself and had to virtue signal with a totally immersion-breaking Trump-bashing scene. Hopefully he's got it out of his system now and doesn't plan to ruin this great show any further!

Among one of the weakest episode of Mr Robot. After a strong season 2 now this downfall. I hope they don‘t completly mess up.

Evil Corp killed my mom. And my whole life, I've always wanted justice for her death. But how do you bring justice to a conglomerate as untouchable as Evil Corp? I thought I would never win. Even after I found out about your crazy plan, I still didn't believe it was possible. Not until I met Whiterose. It wasn't until she opened my eyes that I could see how all of the damage that they've caused could finally be... undone. When we succeed, a whole new world will be born.

Well, this was a lot of fun to this point. Fascinating characters and trippy plots always kept me on my toes. Great performances from characters I can't really empathize with, but was nonetheless compelled to watch. Alas, this is the end of the line for me with Mr. Robot.

Ok, not the show I started watching, removing from Auto download list.

Oh yeah sure let's just undo all the things we spent two seasons building up to. Fuck this episode.

The power is back on. Mr. Robot is returns with all the goodness from Season 1, and just enough WTF from Season 2.

Boring episode overall. Lots of fillers with not much to do. Obivously a gunshot to the stomach....its nothing. And wtf is up with Darlene...where is all that hysterical acting coming from...all of a sudden she is scared shitless... for real!?

This had one of my favorite episode openings ever in Mr. Robot. Irving is such a fun character, and his introduction scene captures his essence pretty perfectly.

While this is a good episode, it does have some weak points. I think both Elliot and Angela's delusions of grandeur are put so close to your face that they feel overdone at times, and at one point lead to a political rant that narratively doesn't age too well IMHO. Also, this episode sort of falls into "setting up the board" mode rather than allowing us to see plays being made, with characters' relationships to each other getting explained to both the audience and some of the other characters in one great big slow burn.

There is some great setup for what will happen next though, as we see Elliot becoming more forthright with his intentions regarding Stage 2, and Angela's story taking a somewhat interesting and unexpected turn. Plus, we see a bit of a stylistic shift from Esmail, as he uses some different cinematography methods such as zooming in and out from farther away, and a wider variety of camera angles.

Great episode, had some hitches but nonetheless thoroughly entertaining.

Starting to get stronger hints of TRON / Little Computer People
