Love, Death & Robots

Season 3

Amazing season! The quality of the CG and animation is truly top tier and the episode plotlines are also very interesting and well thought out

Overall great season with really amazing animation. More than makes up for what I felt to be a lackluster second season.

The animation this season was astounding. Most of the stories were hits, too. Had a great time.

A good season. Think I'm in the minority when I say that I enjoyed season 2 the most so far. I loved season 1, but I feel like season 1 had a lot of episodes I really didn't enjoy as well, which kinda brought the whole thing down a peg for me. I felt season 2 was the most consistent, even if it didn't maybe hit some of the same highs that season 1 or 3 did.

From technical aspect LD&R has always been astounding and this season, that is still the case.
But none of the stories stood out this season.

i think this is the best season so far, But still idk why i see really weak show

Season 3 was the weakest in my opinion so far. It is a collection of such a differencing quality that it really shows.

I found most of the episodes to be incredibly mediocre. Nothing really bad, but also barely any standouts.

The best season so far in my opinion.

A season that’s more good then bad. A few standout episodes as always.

How are we able to tell this animation is made for adults if we don't include death, gore and gratuitous violence? How will we be able to sell this to people if we don't make abundantly clear this is for adults?

I am bored.
Yes, the technical skills on show here are incredible even if hyperrealism is not really my thing but oh my god I do not care for all these military (alike) characters shooting things, I just don't. Where is the variety. Where is the exploration of another human emotion besides anger.

I didn't like the 2nd season, the 3rd season was very successful

Better than the previous volume, but still falls off compared to the magical masterpiece of the first one.

It may just be recency bias, but this is the best overall season of this show to me, top to bottom.. I didn't wish I had skipped ANY of the episodes, which I can't say about all of seasons one and two..

Better than Vol. 2 but still not quite as good as Vol. 1

I had high hopes with Vol. 2 after the high points of Vol. 1 but ended up pretty let down. However, coming into Vol. 3 with mitigated expectations, I think it met them even if it didn't capture the same magic as Vol. 1. The high points for me were Bad Travelling, Night of the Mini Dead, Mason's Rats, and Jibaro. As with Vol. 2, I think the short runtime left very little breathing room for less than stellar episodes unlike Vol. 1. However, there were some true standouts here: Bad Travelling comes in at the longest runtime of the entire series and is worth every second and Jibaro is so unique I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

All in all, this is easy to recommend since it's such a short watch but also includes some episodes that, much like Zima Blue, I'll be coming back to in the future.

I was super excited to have the third volume of this show, BUT for me it was bad, three robots was amazing again, and I loved In vaulted halls entombed, the rest was so bland which made me sad, nothing iconic like we had in the volume 1 and 2. but it's still great entertainment
