1x06 The Black Door

Who the fuck kills themselves by putting a plastic bag over their own head? This episode was so bad :(

Tyler and Nina get in relationships at the same time. As well as have their relationships go down hill at the same time. Which feels like lazy writing.
The show can be intriguing but this one has too much teen drama. The problem is that Bode is the best character of the siblings.
But the show centers on his older brother and sister too much. With some usual teen drama cliches happening.
The mom even has her own more interesting mystery going on. I’d also rather learn more about the Uncle (Aaron Ashmore).

Again, interesting ideas, but terrible character decisions and some bad acting.

is this a teen drama or a comic book-based horror show for adults? you can't have both at once and expect a wide audience if you keep shifting your focus with lazy writing

I was really cheering for Kinsey to drown. And Tyler suddenly becoming angsty is just stupid.

And how often do we want to repeat a scene in which Kinsey is like “we have to do x!” And Tyler is like “so you mean to do x, alone?!?” And “no because we will do it together.”
And really, youll give the keys to the one person you already accused of being irresponsible with them, and after explicitly saying Bode is acting better with them.

Wtf is this show doing, this is going terribly downhills.
Can someone confirm how much better the novels are, because the story itself has so much potential were it not for this bad writing.

and when did well lady get a fire key? Did I miss something? I only remember her talking bode out of the anywhere key. Has she had it since before?

Nina and Duncan are the only good characters left. Kinsey has been written so poorly it is astonishing. Tyler has done another random personality shift. Bode continues to be marginally interesting, but also slightly annoying.

How does Bode pick up a key and walk directly to the lock? That is some seriously lazy writing and directing!
