Locke & Key: Season 1

1x05 Family Tree

Riiiight, so You’re just going to tell a stranger about this magical box that can control people AND let them use it? W... ow. Stupidity at its peak. I get so mad at stupidity.

I agree that some characters are making dumb decisions, but they are in line with their characters. Kinsey simply has no fear. It's totally logic, that she does, what she wants or likes. Because she doesn't just have no fear for herself, but she also has no fear for others.
Gabe on the other hand simply tries to get Kinseys attention, that's why he supported her actions.
So yes, there are dumb decisions made, but I think they fit the characters at the moment. :)
I like it, when shows try to invert the characters we like, when it makes sense. And here it does, I think. :)

I'm enjoying the overall story, but when kids make obviously dumb decisions, it really irks me. If they can minimize scenes like this, this show could turn into something really fun.

Kinsey kills her fear but gains stupidity? So dumb...

The show has potential and is filled with great ideas. But some of these character decisions stop the show from being truly great.

Soooo... Again with the character shifts, I get that they’re trying to show a more rebel and reckless Kinsey, but doesn’t come out right, she turned just plain mean and later seems rational again? At least with Tyler, who was a little douchey at the beginning, the evolution makes sense since he’s conflicted and grieving and struggling to adapt.
On the other hand, Rendell’s past gets weirder and weirder... I don’t like the show 100%, but I’m hooked enough to keep watching and see what happens

I've come to realize that there's gonna be more weak high school filler here than in the comic books, but it seemed more tolerable this time around and came with more developments on the mystery front, making for a better episode than the last one. OTOH, the absence of Echo was felt and the death was a bummer, as well.

Ugh... I guess it is that kind of a show.

I was hoping this wouldn't be like other Netflix series and it was for a few episodes, but we have finally reached the point where characters do stupid things... because, reasons...

It is most definitely bad writing/directing when the irrational/impulsive character is the voice of reason...

I'm really starting to enjoy the show. The plot thickens and is finally jolted forward and yes the actions of the kids (mostly Kinsey) are stupid but to be expected from kids and again... especially the now fearless (literally) Kinsey.
I'm getting more curious with each episode and am starting to see that these keys are very dangerous when used as weapons.

Hah I'm midway through Locke & Key season one and the address for the house is 4020 Lowell Drive, which I'm sure there's a street like that around me IRL (takes place in Massachusetts), not sure about the number but it's close to a "420"
I kinda feel bad for the Eden character. She's been one that I'm looking forward to seeing more of each episode. I hope to see more development with her going from being a mean girl to being a part of the group again.. also, she hot

How the hell could they screw up these characters so badly. SMH
