As soon as Josie went 'dark' I couldn't help but groan inwardly at the failed attempts to bring her character in line with Willow's from BtVS. Sadly, this episode only got worse with the main event...I couldn't even muster a smile, a laugh, a huzzah, or even a tear. The entire thing just fell flat.

Josie (aka Dark Willow,) was pretty fun to watch. I thought good acting, or good enough. From what I read on reddit tho, not everyone liked her performance. Why not!
Alaric being pushed to the side I did not like- the heart of this show in terms of character stuff seems to be his influence on Hope and their interactions so I like when I see her growing under his tutelage. Feels like Alaric is under-utilized.
Lizzie deciding not to do the wrong thing felt a bit stale or forced as an arc. Plus her selfishness being to blame for Josie, what?
Not sure about this cult of ressurected puppets storyline. The spin off idea though, funny.
Hope reminds me of plucky Rose from Vampire Academy. Wish they'd emphasize her uniqueness more though, make her arc less orphan Annie meets Mary Sue.
